When we decided to come here for dinner we were very excited as it was highly recommended. However, upon walking in there was no one to greet us and if it wasn’t for a server that approached us we would’ve still been waiting. We chose to sit at the bar and although we know it is brand new, they really need to at least be more attentive and welcoming. It is clear they definitely need more training because no matter how great the food might me if the service is not up to par, it will kill the dining experience. I had the risotto with salmon it was tasty, however, the salmon was undercooked, had great flavor but needed a few more minutes on the grill. My fiancé had the Cacio e pepe which he wasn’t thrilled about as it needed more pepper. We also had the crab cakes as an app but the center was cold. As a new restaurant we know a lot left to be revised and improved but not sure we would come back again.

I can not say enough about how great The Franklin Secaucus is! I have been there a few times for brunch and I decided to have my daughter’s Communion brunch here. The Manager, Kelly, was absolutely amazing. She was so nice and organized everything I asked for. Timing was an issue for us and she went above and beyond to help decorate for us. She even took the time to print specialized menus for our brunch. The food was AMAZING. Our waitress, Kaylee (not sure if I’m spelling it correctly) was phenomenal. She was so personable, quick and efficient. Always checking in on us. She was also incredibly kind. My daughter and our guests had the best time and it’s all thanks to the wonderful service we received. We felt so welcome and this truly made my daughter’s Communion day so special. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants.

Went to brunch and our party of 6 were seated right away. Service was quick and friendly, the waiter even went to speak with Chef Juan if we could have a dish that wasn't on the brunch menu. We ordered drinks, the limencello spritz was especially delightful, fresh and summery. Each and every plate ordered was fantastic, a visual delight. The fluffiest mushroom omelet with goat cheese on the inside, perfectly seasoned home fries. Waffles and chicken were the best I ever had. French toast with berries and a dusting of coconut. The special request was for an appetizer of octopus and this dish was exceptional. The garlic lime aioli that was drizzled on the octopus was so good that I wish I could take a bottle of it home. Overall, I will be back until I try every dish.

Just went to the Franklin for brunch. Have been to the Jersey City location and the food is great. Secaucus location: super nice atmosphere, really pretty on the inside. Drinks: my husband loved his Arnold Palmer, I also like my hibiscus iced tea. Food: the husband enjoyed his steak and eggs. I ordered the avocado panzanella salad with grilled chicken. I was super excited about this, as I love panzanella salad, and with avocado too? No brainer. I was looking forward to posting a picture and hyping this place up, as it is super close to our house, and we want it to become our local spot. Well, the salad that came out was a bowl of arugula, with grilled chicken on it, a couple of croutons, and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. No avocado, no heirloom tomatoes. I got the very friendly server to ask for the avocado and tomatoes. It came back with diced avocado, a few sliced cherry tomatoes, and a tiny bit more cheese. This was not panzanella, it was an arugula salad with a few toppings. I REALLY want to love this place, come on Franklin, you can do it!!!

Updated review: have been back to Franklin twice over the last couple of weekends for dinner. The Franklin knows their way around a burger and fries, yum! My husband had a steak and loved it, friends had short rib, and short rib ravioli, also loved that. Victor our waiter was terrific! There is a drink with grapefruit vodka and iced tea. I have had it twice, sooooo good! It was nice to see that the restaurant was pretty busy,...
