The food here is delicious and reasonably priced but I had a very unprofessional experience with this business as of late. My coworkers and I usually order from Giovannis every week. We get a bunch of employees together to order lunch. There have nurmerous occasions where what was ordered over the phone is not what is received. When this happens we’d call back and ask for the correct order. Mistakes happen, but after one or two times it reads as pure negligence. Is it too much to expect to receive what I ordered in the first place? With that being said, even with the mistakes, we were still willing to order from them and be patient with them if they messed up the order.

To make matters worse, recently when we called to place an order no one picked up. We are aware of their business hours so we know the restaurant was open. We tried calling from a different number and finally received an answer only to figure out they refused to take our order because “it isn’t worth the trip” (mind you the business is only 10 minutes away). I’ve never experienced such unprofessional service. Firstly, the original call was screened and not picked up, and secondly when we called from a different number they picked up and said they did not want our business anymore because for some odd reason a restaurant- whose sole responsibility is to take customer orders ACCURATELY and fulfill those orders), cannot seem to do so. It’s not our fault that the employees cannot get an order right. It’s not our fault that we pay for a specific order and expect it to come they way we communicated it to the employee in the first place.

This establishment should be ashamed of themselves for this...

I can't give negative stars. I have never eaten here and will NEVER eat in a pet serving delicatessen or restaurant. Absolutely disgusting practices performed here on video on Tic Toc. I wonder what goes on there off camera. And the New Jersey Health Department will be delivered stills and video of these obvious health code violations from his posted tic toc video. Never eat there, especially if you have cat and or dog allergies steming from animal dander. My allergies are severe and are treated with perscribed medications. I'm not the only person who suffers from this or like this. If you are allergic to nuts or shellfish you wouldn't eat foods that contain nuts or shellfish or where nuts or shellfish come into contact with your food. Animal dander is airborne and touch transfered. That dog has his paws on the counter. This is a danger to many. Not everyone, but many, and the affects can be and are very serious. This is why there is a health department in New Jersey, to stop dirty actions and practices like this from injuring/ hurting the public. He has to have a license to serve food, and it states that he knows better, and he still did this. He is wearing gloves to protect himself from contamination but he readily endangers the public. People make mistakes, I get it, but sometimes these mistakes will hurt his innocent and unaware clientele. Hopefully no one will need to seek immediate medical attention (like a steroid oral inhaler or epinephrine injection, or doses of benadryl) to stop the throat and sinuses from closing or swelling and other adverse affects) due to the lack of professional decorum and...

So I work out of Secaucus New Jersey and I have not had a good experience with the gentleman at the counter I ordered my sandwich over the phone and I was given more than I ordered and then upon trying to correct the order the phone number was disconnected and by time the driver had gotten their it had been over an hour I do not blame the driver but I do blame the incompetency of Nico at the front desk who spoke to me on the phone and claimed that it would only take 30 minutes and I was not able to eat my food because it took so long. I do not appreciate Nico specifically very unprofessional made a false claim 30 minutes my order should be delivered within the same town that is about 2 mi radius how does it take over an hour for me to receive one sandwich I understand I was not the only order but if you could not accommodate my order within that time you should have told me to that time frame I would have appreciated a cancellation in my order or any kind of recognition that a mistake was made at least give me a courtesy phone call I do not appreciate having to recite my card information seven times and then was told that I did not give him the correct information and just overall was very cross and...

I ordered trays of food for Christmas Eve. Recently at a Holiday party at work we had chicken francase. Absolutely delicious. Flat cutlets breaded in flour with the sauce franchise style. I received big thick pieces of chicken. Some as much as two inches thick. Very unappealing and unappetizing. It was as if thick chicken breast were cut in two or three long strips and prepared. Not pounded into cutlets No one enjoyed them. What a waste. The other two trays of food were good. I've had sandwiches and other food that I must say were very good. This chicken was not what I expected.

Love this place! Gianna is an absolute gem and treated this first timer like a VIP. She let me sample a piece of warm, fresh mutz while I was waiting. And it was as quality and quality can be. I settled on a chicken cutlet sandwich with mutz, prosciutto, their famous “Charlie peppers”, and balsamic. Huge, messy sandwich in the best way. The bread was killer, the cutlets were delightfully crispy, the peppers added some heat, and all of the flavors were balanced and exciting. Highly recommend!

Took my buddy to have a chicken vodka parm for the first time at Giovannis Italian Deli in Secaucus. I have been here a few times but he hadn't. Not only did he have the sandwich he took 2 to go. What makes this business so successful is the consistency in quality & taste. Most importantly THE SERVICE. The crew goes out of their way to make sure you leave happy. You must come to this spot if you are in the area and if your not it's worth the trip. Love this spot!!!
