Osprey Cove Apartments — Attraction in Secaucus

Osprey Cove is a nightmare to deal with. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. The building quality is nothing short of atrocious. I'm subjected to relentless noise from the upstairs flimsy, cheaply made wooden floors every morning. These floors are a disgrace; it's as if they're made of plastic with no regard for quality. To make matters worse, they haven't been replaced in 12 years, causing them to warp. When I rightfully pointed out this issue to the manager, Anthony, he gaslit me, absurdly trying to blame it on me "leaving water" on the floor, despite clear evidence of a faulty design and pre-existing conditions in the property since it was built in 2012.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Dog owners here allow their pets to urinate on the grass right outside, creating an unbearable stench daily. The stench, however, can’t compare to the occasional smell of cigarette and weed smoke that wafts into my unit, despite a clear ban on smoking. As if that's not enough, they've been conducting never-ending construction outside for almost two months, subjecting me to relentless, ear-piercing beeping noise every single day. The leasing office has done nothing to address any of these problems.

And let's not forget the staff's incompetence and apathy. Yolanda, in particular, has been a nightmare to deal with. It took multiple requests and over a month to have my mailbox keys replaced, and her total lack of response is unacceptable. Her attitude towards residents is appalling, to say the least. It's clear that after you sign the lease, they couldn't care less about you. They find every possible way to deflect blame onto you.

In short, Osprey Cove is a terrible mixture of incompetence, negligence, and a complete disregard for their residents. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere...

Osprey Cove is a wonderful apartment community with high-end build quality that I can attest to after living here for 11 years. The leasing office and maintenance staff is always welcoming, helpful and responsive. It is quiet especially living in the back of the building by the park. The atmosphere is tranquil and it always feels like a retreat to come home to. This is literally my happy place!

Elvis is a wonderful maintenance manager. Recently I had multiple repairs needed in my apartment, including the AC needing to be completely replaced. Everything was taken care of right away. It’s a nice complex, great stuff, location, but I had to read the reviews first. It’s not for those who are light sleepers or are annoyed by the sounds from upstairs neighbors. I never had this problem before, but here I know every move of my upstairs neighbours. The floors just seem poorly made. That of course is annoying and at night I wake up when my neighbour wakes up. I hear every steps and it’s a constant bumping from the ceiling. There is also a sound of water dripping sometimes just over my head after neighbours shower possibly.
