Love this place! I live in Phoenix, and the drive here is lovely. Climbing the rocks are so fun because you can climb up any which way you choose, as there is no one direct path to the top.

You can go one of the more challenging ways, or just stick to any one of the less steep paths.

The rocks are slick where there is loose dirt, so make sure you have good hiking shoes on. I also wouldn't recommend wearing shorts because you more than likely will be using your knees and your butt at one point or another, probably more so on the way down than up.

I've been at times where it has taken me up to 4 hours to climb to the top, and other times I've gone and it has only taken around 2 hours up and down.

I like it because it's the same rocks but a different climb each trip.

Don't forget a...

Powerful and Peaceful Spot

Stopped by Bell Rock with my cousins after exploring Flagstaff and Walnut Canyon, and it was the perfect way to end the day. The energy there is something else. I actually took a moment to meditate, and it felt grounding and peaceful in a way I can’t quite explain. The views are stunning from every angle, especially as the sun starts to dip.

The hike itself is pretty easy depending on how far you want to go up, but even just walking around the base gives you that iconic red rock experience. Definitely a must if you’re in the Sedona area. Great vibe,...

What can you say that is endearing, poignant yet and believe the scripture of such a lovely place! The lines on the parking lot although slightly faded or absolutely straight. The parking lot itself was curved but in such a delightful way that it enhanced the general architecture of the mountains around it. I would highly recommend this particular parking lot for anyone who wants a...... Place to...

Great hike. It's not terribly difficult. I'm 68 and have a not so good knee, and I made it. Until you get towards the top, then it becomes s rock scramble. Not for everyone. I did not make it all the way up, but others did. The last 100 ft up is real step and just slick rock. Not for the faint of heart.

Sensational views of the surrounding landscape. Pretty easy till you get to about the middle or third layer up. After that we weren’t chancing it. Views were spectacular from the middle, couldn’t care for a higher view since everything was already in view, didn’t want to chance it.
