Van Aken District — Attraction in Shaker Heights

When I visited the first time I was impressed by the unique juxtaposition, different shops, some in the Marketplace central and some along the walkways outside....something for everyone....this is exciting and UP AND COMING NEW TO THE AREA....I love the neighborly feel and cozyness....a place to bring the family to, shop, eat, go for a stroll ....or do business....the shops and store fronts are filling up rapidly....and by summer should be the 'IT' PLACE TO BE....THE HUB OF SHAKER HEIGHTS....I was there recently ( late lunch) and had lunch from BRASSICA ....I had a chicken pita with baba, cukes & radishes, pita and onion crisps, marinated eggplant....and it was FANTASTICALLY SCRUMPTILICIOUS !!!! 😋 The food was so fantastic that I returned again to get the same thing ( at BRASSICA) for lunch....I've tried food at 'ON THE RISE' as well : a brownie and a raspberry cake bar....it was so DELICIOUS that I felt guilty for a week....we had a coffee ( decaf for me) at the coffee place(RISING STAR) and was FANTASTICALLY GOURMET....I got a dark roast ( decaf) that was deliciously dark roast flavor WITHOUT any bitter after taste ....BOLD FLAVOR, YET SMOOTH AND MELLOW ....( hard to find in decaf )....and the day that I returned for lunch I purchased a bottle of water from THE BREWERY....they have a selection of juices, water and other beverages as well as their brew....there are some fine shops that I havent had a chance to see yet and I look forward to my next visit....there is plenty of space to enjoy your food in the Marketplace food court and OUTSIDE as well....This, INDEED, WILL BE THE 'IT' PLACE TO BE THIS...

I recently visited Van Aken Market Hall on Tuttle Road and had lunch at Brassica in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Van Aken Market Hall is located in the Van Aken Market Hall in the Van Aken District of Shaker Heights.

Van Aken Market Hall is on the east side of Tuttle Toad. Van Aken Market Hall is west of Warrensville Center Road. It is located north of Chagrin Boulevard. There is a free off-street parking lot on the south side of Meade Road with the entrance to the parking lot off Tuttle Road. There is a multi-level parking garage immediately north of the Van Aken Market Hall.

Just west of the Van Aken Market Hall is the rapid transit Van Aken/Warrensville station with bus service too.

I had lunch at Brassica, a Mediterrian Restaurant, located in the Market Hall. There are other restaurants and retail shops located in Van Aken Market Hall.

I am looking forward to my next visit to the Market Hall to try some of the other restaurants. I plan to visit Brassica again too. The service and food is great. It is all under one roof with indoor and outdoor seating.

I recently returned to Van Aken Market Hall. This trip I parked in the parking garage immediately north of the Market Hall. The parking is free in the four level parking structure. There are stairs and elevators at several locations on the perimeter of the parking structure. You can enter and exit the parking structure on either the west side or the east side. I entered the parking structure on the east side off of Warrenville Center Road. I exited the structure from the west side onto...
