On a suggestion from a friend I brought my grandson to play in hopes of being able to watch a passing train. My heart sank when I saw construction equipment around a soon to be new playground. Some passers by told us about the community center playground, which he loved! (He is turning 2.) As we were leaving we heard a train whistle and were able to watch a passing train from the area where a caboose is on display (not yet open). Read moreMcCord Park is a fantastic spot for youth baseball. The turf fields are in excellent shape and make a huge difference — games aren’t getting canceled for mud or standing water, and the surface plays true and consistent.
The park is well-kept overall, with plenty of space for families and a nice setup for players and spectators. Parking is convenient, and the location is easy to get to.

Read moreGreat neighbor park. There are no bathrooms or portapotty, but it's close enough to the community center for emergencies. Has a larger play structure with big slides for big kids and a smaller play structure with smaller slides. Good for walking and taller toddlers. There is a cute little wodden play house and swings. Also a mommy and me swing which is fun. There are plenty of trees for shade and maybe 4 picnic tables...
