Very nice.

However, although I appreciated the fact that there were certainly an adequate number of surveillance officers protecting people both entering and leaving the building, the large sign on the side of the building read, "These facilities IS protected by surveillance....."

Yikes!! Are these signs not edited multiple times to ensure proper grammar, before the production of perhaps a couple of hundred in Shreveport alone?

Children learn in First Grade that a plural subject ("facilities" --the "s" serves as a plural marker) requires a plural verb ("are" instead of "is")! And, in this case, the plural subject ("facilities") even had a plural demonstrative adjective ("these"--the plural form of "this") preceding it, serving as an additional marker of the plural noun.

And....to be really nitpicky, there was really only ONE building/facility, not more than one, as the word "facilities" indicates. So.....ironically, the sign should have read, "This facility is protected....."
