This is not it. I finally got to try their ramen after they finally moved in to their new location. Insanely small and cramped. Literally no place to wait other than the bar where everyone goes to order and pick up food, they put other people’s food right in front of you causing traffic issues with customers. One gentleman that works there was on the phone with a customer and I got to see his striped boxers as he was bending over checking orders, very classy. They had one single person working in house and to go orders, she clearly needed help getting things moving. Had to wait almost an hour for my food to go, when I asked about it the girl told me she would check, but there were others ahead of me. Still trying to figure this one out as the woman who had order to go right before me, got her food and left before I ever did and the people behind me got theirs before mine as well. Finally got my order and back to my place work, broth was barely lukewarm, had to heat that up to even get my noodles and ingredients to a warm enough temp to want to eat it. I was not impressed overall with the food taste. The broth was very salty, and smelt too heavy of whatever cajun seasoning they use (crawfish boil maybe?). The pork was really chewy and no appetizing. The noodle were okay, not the best. The eggs were okay, just wish they had been a little hotter and more jammy. The smells from the pork and broth clashed between Cajun boil and smoked bbq while eating, so it was overwhelming on my senses. Maybe I came on a bad day for everyone, but I was not impressed at all with...
Read moreAfter reading all the positive reviews about this place, i decided to give it a try. I really do not understand what people are referring to when it comes to service or ambience. Its a small place with black tablecloths and curtains with a massive tv in the center. I dont get how that is ambience. There is no table side service. You go up to a counter are handed an menu or can read a chalkboard and order. You are then given a tracker and the food is delivered. I believe chick fil-a does the same. As for the food...it was disgusting and inedible. I do not know if it is the tare or broth but it's heinous. Moreover miso broth should be rich and noodles springy. Neither was the case. I could forgive terrible food but i cannot forgive unethical business. They hand us two cups of ice and then next to the counter are 3 big containers of drinks. Nowhere on the menu, containers, or chalkboard does it state you are charged for dispensing from them. Moreover there water machine, which in a corner, does not state water. You know what does...the cucumber water they charge for. Disgusting, unethical, and bordeline illegal to charge and not disclose. They also do not disclose that making the ramen spicy is an extra charge on any menu. Ghost ramen is a fitting name because similar to ghosts...this place is creepy, their charges will sneak up on you, and it is...
Read moreI ready plenty of the reviews here and people do not seem to understand that this is a food truck-turned bar kitchen-turned patio eatery. Complaints about counter service or the drink scenario is asinine. The service is essentially that of what you get at a bar's contract kitchen. You order, you pay, you come pick up your food when it's ready. The woman working the counter was very nice and helpful about the menu, and when it was slow enough to do so, she brought me my food. Drinks are provided and served by the bar attached (Fatty's.) So yeah, you have to go order your drink at the bar, but an employee delivered me a second round once I had a tab opened. As for the food, I thought the appetizer platter I got was delicious. I got gyoza, corn ribs, and Adobe pork belly (quite spicy.) My husband got the Shreveport Hot Ramen and thought it wasn't on par with the spicy deliciousness of the pork belly, but we would absolutely visit again and try the other ramens as well. These one star reviews for idiotic standards are why no businesses can survive in Shreveport. They leave no room for unique...
