Look at that face! This place makes everyone happy!!! Especially at Christmas! Although BassPro should be slightly more price competitive. [Update]: Some years later I took my son back to Bass Pro who is now 14, to look at some compound bows. I met an employee at the Archery Pro-Shop counter named Mason, he was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. He came up to us when we first got there and after we told him we were there looking around trying to find my son's first bow. He talked to us and let us know, if we need help or would like to test one, please let him know. After a little while we picked up a bow and took it to the counter. He got the bow ready and my son got to shoot his very first "big bow".... After the first shot, my son's face just lit up. Even though we didn't buy a bow that day, my son now has more knowledge as to what he wants and needs. This is why I've always came here for archery gear, they aren't pushy and try to B.S. you into buying the most expensive bow in there! Bass Pro needs to know, what ever they're paying this guy, it isn't enough! This is one of your up and coming millennial leaders whether you know it or not. Bass Pro needs to capitalize on the archery market here in Shreveport/Bossier area. Thanks Again Bass Pro and Thank You, Mason! 👍

The Bass Pro Shop came highly recommend as a place of interest to visit during my time in Shreveport, LA. I was staying at a hotel right next to the Bossier City Boardwalk and a short 10min walk to the Bass Shop. One of the things that sold me on stopping by was the chance to see a live alligator. Having lived my whole life is the western states, an alligator isn't something you ever see. Plus as a none hunter, I've never been inside any Bass Pro Shop and figured it was worth taking a look. The alligator was much smaller than I'd expected. The one they have there might be a baby, I swear in movies they seem much larger and intimidating. The shop it self was full of fun hunting stuff (i.e. tree stands/blinds, rifles, and cameo as far as the eye can see). They had a shooting range looking space the top floor and an aquarium with huge fish on the main level. All in all spent about an hour walking around and a blast. Plenty to see and do even of us non-hunters like myself.

Is disappointing how a brand name like bass pro shop does not keep the MINIMUM standard of cleanliness in the alligator pond. This is the example that you’re giving to kids and adults on how to have and treat animals? Many hunting and fishing stores praise themselves on the conservation aspect of it. You’re definitely not in that list so I’d rather shop somewhere else. Truly disgusting and troubling to watch. SOLUTION: put a fountain and a filter in place. These ALLIGATORS can’t even get in this DISGUSTING WATER. And it’s 95 degrees outside. Shame on y’all and the employees that walk by everyday and stay complacent. Y’all DON’T ACT like the million dollar brand that you are but customers now watch and these reviews help. I will make sure to share this story with my acquaintances.

Tried to avoid giving a negative review but obviously the store manager doesn't respond to emails. Nov. 28, I ordered online for store pickup. 1 item was canceled due to out of stock. No problem. Received part of the order which I picked up Dec 3rd or 4th. So Dec 10th, I call BPS in Bossier to find out about the rest of my order. Find out that the rest of my order was given to someone else. The employee tells me that they will fill my order off the shelf because the items were in stock. I go to BPS after work and pick up my order. The pkg has a paper with my name, address, phone number, email address on it. So I ask about my informations security since someone picked up my original pkg. No one seems to be concerned that they let all of my personal information walk right out the door. So I call customer service and they tell me that they understand my concern and would email the store manager (Don Levins) so that he could contact me directly. So today, Dec 15th, still no response from the store manager. I guess once you spend your money and get out of the store, you're just another irrelevant customer whose personal information can be given away and nothing done about it. Not to mention the items were taken off the shelf to fill my order so they lost inventory. Also my email said I picked up the rest of my order and showed I.D. at 2:10 pm and again at 4:16 pm even though I didn't get off work until 3:30 pm and arrived at BPS at 4:00. Great way to operate a...

Just spent 20k on a new boat (1654 sportsman) here this past sat , apparently the boat didn’t meet “there quota” to come with a fire extinguisher or anything extra the other boats came with . They pre wired my boat for a trolling motor , but didn’t give me the piece that hooks into there prewiring . So now I have to order a whole new set up and rewire there mistake . Boat is shown online with 2 seats but only came with 1. Also the salesman told me my boat came with poles , and they where placed in the boat, (the boat I bought came with mounts for poles to stick in the ground to stable the boat to hunt out of) don’t get me wrong I like the boat but feel screwed over by there sale / service team. Definitely won’t recommend anyone to this place for a boat or anything else . (Edit , still wish I could give a 0 rating. Will not recommend buying from bass pro. This was also a gift my wife allowed me to get because I had to get out of the military and I am now disabled. To try to bring my spirits back up she found this boat at what we believed to be a good deal and she knew I wanted a boat the whole family could fish from. Just to be cheated the way we did. Go somewhere else to get your boating needs. Somewhere your more...
