The beds were soft and the Bally's hotel casino and were was mostly clean. The view was nice from our room. Parking was free but valet parking had no valet, guess that's why it's free.
Front desk provided good service every time we needed to go to them. The first floor restaurantalso provided good service answering questions and hearing up our food because no room has a microwave in it.
Our room was dusty, the wall paper was coming off the walls and room service apparently doesn't exist because no one ever serviced our room. The remote even had dirty and food in it.
I had requested enough towels for each person that I registered and we still were only given enough for 2-3.
It's like the room we stayed in was that extra one that they never use. However they did willing supply us with extra towels when we went down to get them ourselves.
Even the magazine was 2 months old in the room and it seems that it's a monthly magazine for tourists.
The restaurant that was highly recommended to us (Noodle Bar) was terrible. The girl working the register just assumes that the customers will know from her ignoring them that they know to stand in the long line to order first them sit at the restaurant's tables to wait to eat in.
I didn't take pictures in the room because of the dust everywhere, however I did take pictures of our view from the room and from across the river.
This hotel wasn't what you expected for...
Read moreO'Reilly's World of Wheels Event was again another great show! Personally I would like to thank everyone that put it together and brought their rides and talents. The craftsmanship involved really inspires others like myself to step up the game. I'll probably never have a car of my own to show, but sure did enjoy it. My wife and two remaining kids went, and I was kinda shocked by their choice of vehicle they liked by only choosing one. They asked me, and I simply cannot go any different than the unfinished Apache. Maybe I'm budget bound, I don't know but it was nice to see. Met and talked with Von Hot Rod, his dad needs prayer, so please keep that in mind. He even let me flip through his phone, and truly down to Earth. I wish I took him out for lunch or something, just a pleasure to speak with, but I was restricted on time. If he reads this, I'm the one that left you the two tickets 🙂 Maybe someday I'll get to see Von's rides, who knows. In the meantime it's watching you in California via YouTube.
Met and talked with Ronnie Humphrey, and then popped up the painter of the Nascar restoration, which was short lived because I just had to go. If anyone needs Hoosier Racing Tires look Ronnie Humphrey up in the Shreveport area. F45 F3035 F50 F35 Having asphalt pull offs, and tire buyer. Watched your videos Ronnie, engine lob sounds great! Just picked up the 75 the Anniversary Edition of...
Read moreThe facility itself was nice, clean and presentable. However, the bathrooms left some to be desired, half the stalls were broken, half the sinks didn’t work, and if they did the soap dispenser was empty. All able to be worked around, but still an annoyance. The biggest issue was the rules about outside food, I get they want you to buy their concessions, however, we were there for a volleyball tournament, our girls needed healthy options and water. We got stopped carrying in our water thermoses for our athletes. Then we got stopped bringing in water bottles that we purchase from the hotel attached to the convention center and was made to throw them away. We could only bring them in if they were purchased from the Starbucks in the hotel lobby, but not the hotel, made no sense. My daughter will go through 6 water bottles in a day, I should be able to have large thermos for her with her water instead of constantly buying water bottle from inside the concessions, which constantly had a line that would take 30 minutes to get through. Some common sense should have been used. Our athletes can’t play 6 hours of volleyball and eat nothing but nachos and pizza, it’s not exactly...
