MacDoctors — Attraction in Sioux Falls Township

I have to say, MacDoctors is THE BEST in town. I had a cord issue a year or so ago and the other place charged me for a replacement (when I found out later it was covered by warranty) and the replacement was a used one! It bit the dust only a year later, it was likely a recall.

Anyhow, my HD burnt up (as well as my battery AND power cord) from the power surges last week. Mac Doctors FOUND the warranty for my hard-drive (that I installed, not a stock part, and not even from their store) so my replacement hard-drive was free (I feel like the other place would have found the warranty and charged me anyhow) and they restored EVERYTHING to how it was before (after my husband and I both gave it a try with no results - both of us being techy people). With the new battery, power supply, hard drive, and data restoration; it only cost less than $500.

And on top of that, the way they handle their customers is amazing. I was frantically calling them every other hour (slight exaggeration) to check the status bc I needed to get back to working on some things that were due asap, and they were SO kind and understanding and comforting. They didn't remotely act like they were frustrated with me calling, just very reassuring and calming.

A really fine store. I started out talking with someone there on the phone, then went to the store to talk more. I got excellent advice about how to configure my new iMac. The configuration I chose was backordered, so I had to wait a bit. When the computer came in, I took in my old Intel iMac, and they transfered everything into my new iMac. The next day they delivered the new computer and spent about an hour with me in my home getting it set up perfectly. The people I worked with were pleasant, helpful, very knowledgeable, and the computer is now working just the way I want. Highly recommended. On March 28, 2025 I went back to MacDoctors because my iPhone was not charging properly. I was met immediately, no waiting, by a young man. I explained the problem and showed him the phone. He examined it carefully, determined that it needed cleaning. He removed quite a bit of lint from the place where you plug in the charging cord. Problem solved, no charge! Another good experience...

Mac Doctors is and always has been extremely helpful with all of my computer issues. Example- While in a hurry to work, I tripped and dropped my computer, damaging the charger port. I called Mac Doctors and was able to speak with a service specialist right away (Eric). I told Eric my story, feeling quite embarrassed with my lack of gracefulness. He first asked if I was ok and then said he was sorry to hear about my situation. Seems small, but I certainly appreciate the human element that Mac Doctors brings to service. Eric and I discussed my options for repair over the phone and then carried on the conversation through email after I sent pictures of the damage. I have not lived near Sioux Falls for a while and there are service providers much closer in proximity that I could contact for issues.
