Zeke's Takeout — Attraction in Sisters

Although I am giving this place FIVE STARS, it's really only 4 because of their open hours... only lunch time on Mon-Fri. Y'all, I crave this place and can't get here during the work week. It is a real bummer, cause I would drive to Sisters just to go here any weekend! The food - I've had several amazing rice dishes here. Last time was teriyaki chicken. I loved the grilling on the chicken and it is very flavorful! The mac salad is, IMHO, to die for, very creamy and the pasta they use is excellent quality. Then, there is the sliced cucumber salad, its got a spicy topping on it chilling in vinegar... I could snack on this all day. I just had my first lunch from Zeke's Takeout and it was so good! I ordered the kalbi plate and it was delicious, fresh, filling and definitely hit the spot. I also got a spam musubi for later and it was also excellent. I grew up in Hawaii and I am so excited that I can now get really good Hawaiian style plate lunch right here in Sisters! When I walked in, I saw they were busy with the grill full of delicious-looking meats and chicken cooking. Service was great and very friendly. I was told that because they cook their meats fresh to-order, it can take a little while, but I got my food quickly. Just what we needed here in Sisters - quality, well-portioned, made-with-care lunch spot that is open ALL WEEK! Chicken Teriyaki was spot on, the Asian slaw extremely good, the side of pickled cucs were tart and fresh and rice cooked to sticky perfection. Had the Kalbi ribs as well. and they were dynamite and the shrimp plate was full of big and juicy tails with plenty of garlic - be sure to put some Zeke's home made hot sauce to tie it all together....
