Blackmans Lake — Attraction in Snohomish

I used to love this lake, but sadly, drug dealers and homeless people coming out from the woods across from the lake, next to Ferguson park, are huge problem. Discarded needles on the ground, cars parked with running engines for an hour are everyday sights, while occupants doing drugs. I wish police paid more attention to the problem and to nearby Ferguson Park, too, as even just walking by is getting too dangerous. About two months ago, while walking my dog at 6:30 am, I interrupted a possible child trafficking, which I reported to the police. A 15 month old child, who was crying his heart out, was almost handled to an other person waiting in a car, by a man, who wore very little clothing....

Ive grown up fishing at this lake. I now take my husband and kids with me here to fish, or the kids do enjoy playing at the playground while we fish. There are two docks, a boat launch, and a gorgeous lake. Ive had more luck fishing from a boat, but dock fishing can be successful if using what they are biting. Years ago I caught a huge rainbow trout off the wooden dock! And by huge i mean so big that i had people crowding around my dad and I as I reeled it in and he netted it. You can swim, go fishing, ride on a boat/paddle board, and there is a playground there. You can even have a cook out because there is a grill. And you can go ride on a floaty! There is also some more things you can do there. And it's small and safe, there are houses surrounding the whole entire lake except the boat launch. They also have a dock that you find some people playing titanic. And there is a little sand part along the water that you find most little...
