Updated Review I recently visited Dollar Tree and am happy to report a much-improved experience! I'm especially pleased to see that Stephanie is no longer employed there. The new staff member was an absolute breath of fresh air—friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. She greeted me with a warm smile and was quick to assist with any questions I had. The store was also clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate.
The improvement in customer service and store atmosphere was immediately noticeable. I’ve always appreciated Dollar Tree for its value, but this level of service made my visit even more enjoyable. I’m genuinely glad to see such positive changes and will definitely be returning. Thank you for turning things around!
Previous Experience During a prior visit, I unfortunately had a very negative encounter with an older employee named Stephanie. She displayed rude and unprofessional behavior, especially toward younger customers. She falsely accused me of stealing, and when she couldn’t provide any evidence, she began crying and threatened to call the police—an experience that left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unfairly treated.
Additionally, she became confrontational over my scooter being parked near the bike rack. Although it wasn’t blocking the entrance and I was standing beside it, she aggressively demanded I move it and again threatened to involve the police. When I tried to explain that my sister was inside and we’d be leaving shortly, she shouted at me to “shut up,” escalating the situation unnecessarily.
Later, my brother called the store to address the issue. Stephanie answered and began yelling at him before hanging up mid-conversation. When he called back, another employee picked up but surprisingly accused him of yelling, which did not happen. Thankfully, I have a recording of the initial incident and am considering legal action due to the false accusations. I also plan to contact Dollar Tree corporate about the situation.

I do believe that everybody deserves to have a chance to work but I also think that there should be someone at a business that can be a contact or be able to deal with customers at a higher level on staff at all times. The closest they have is an older lady that was really unpleasant on the phone when we asked if they had an item. She says they did, so despite her nastiness we went in but couldn't find it. So am employee got her to show us and she wasn't happy at all about having to come out of the office and show us. She was grumbling that she already told us they had the item on the phone. Forgive me for not knowing your store like you do.

Read moreI have shopped at this location since they opened and what I cannot get over is how incredibly dirty the store always is. I do not think the floors ever get mopped, there are so many stains and spills, on every aisle. Just filthy dirty! Do they own a floor dust mop? Stuff all over the floors. It would not be that difficult to go up and down the aisles. It’s always been this way too. Even after a new manager. Seems like ownership issues.
