The wines themselves are nothing short of exceptional. Crafted with passion and expertise, each sip tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship. What sets Mount Si Winery apart is not just the quality of their wines, but the personal touch that the owner, with his charming demeanor, brings to the experience. One of the most remarkable aspects of Mount Si Winery is their commitment to sourcing grapes from esteemed Washington vineyards. This dedication to quality shines through in every bottle, ensuring that each wine is a testament to the region's rich winemaking heritage.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of selecting a couple of bottles of their Syrah for a dinner party, and they were an instant hit with my guests. The depth of flavor and complexity of the wine left everyone impressed, prompting me to make a mental note to stock up on more for future occasions. In fact, I'm already planning to purchase additional bottles to age, eager to see how they evolve over time.
Beyond the exceptional wine and welcoming ambiance, Mount Si Winery also scores points for being a dog-friendly establishment. This thoughtful touch makes it an ideal spot for post-hike adventures with friends, allowing both two-legged and four-legged companions to enjoy the experience together.
In conclusion, Mount Si Winery is a true gem that offers not just great wine, but a memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a wine enthusiast seeking new flavors or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind with friends, this hidden treasure is well...
Read moreMet with Jim (owner) and Kathy (local who helps around the winery) today after spending some time at the waterfall. Jim let us try some of his new batches of white and rose wine, which were aging next door. They were absolutely delightful, full bodied, and better than many of the whites I pick up off the shelves of grocery stores. Kathy filled us in on some of their history and how they get together as a community to make the wine. It seems that this winery is part of the pulse of the community, which was refreshing to experience.
I would call Jim’s wine familiar, but experimental/unique. I enjoyed his Petit Verdot a lot(a whole book of flavors and mouth feel to breakdown on that wine), and his Rose, which was blended with a good portion of Syrah which made it uniquely flavorful and drier than your average rose. All of the wines we tried retained a lot of their traditional hallmarks, but because of the timing at which Jim introduces components of his wine, you get interesting flavors unique to the Eastern Washington grapes he sources from.
Now that I know he’s down the road from the falls, my partner and I definitely plan on stopping by any time we’re...

Be forewarned, they don't do whites frequently, if at all, and they don't do Chardonnay. I'm a red fan so this made me happy. Besides the wine itself, the location is small and quaint and one of those "hidden gem" experiences. The owners are very friendly and we had a wonderful time. Pro tip: might not be a good thing to visit when it's raining because the seating is primarily outside (but I'm sure they would...
