Great place for a small group of adults to cook out, while they are away from home. 5 stars for adjacent parking & BBQ pits.
The unique feature of this "Park" is that it has individual, stand up barbecue pits, something that so many parks don't have anymore. There are only a few separate spots, but each one has a picnic table ( Un-covered ) as well as garbage cans 🙂 so you don't have to pack-out trash when you leave. You pull right up to park in front of the spot you wish to use, you're within a few steps of the picnic area, which makes it great if you have someone who is car bound or limited mobility, or if you don't like being out of site of your vehicle. Keep in mind these are outdoor, community grills, the cooking grate is bulky and exposed to the elements. Make sure to bring your own charcoal and foil to cover the grill, as well as water (as far as I know there isn't any) There are not bathroom facilities that I am aware of. It's not someplace I would or imagined taking my children to when they were little. Exploration options for kids begin with, gravel parking lot directly next to picnic area, which spans 20-30ft. of level ground from where you park, before dropping off to a steep, soft, shifty, uneven hill side which declines to a flat spot of grassy area, bordered by an eroding River Bank. 🤔
Remain aware so as not to trip over the haphazardly placed curb stops that are randomly above or below the gravel line, located between parking area & picnic area, they could definitely use some attention to be corrected.

Read moreSmall park right on the river. Sits adjacent to the old main street and the majority of restaurants and bars in the area. Parking in gravel lot nearby, or street. A couple grill stations and plenty of grass to hang out on. Nothing really notable here, but it makes for a good break if you're walking...
