We stopped into Copperstone as we are staying in town for the weekend and thought that their menu sounded really good. When we arrived our server was nice at first but then became snippy. My mom and I ordered the Baked Fettuccine with Meatballs and she read back the order to us, no problem. When the food came out, it wasn’t what we were expecting, but we thought we might have ordered incorrectly and it was our fault. After some investigation and looking at the menu, we determined it was the Baked Ziti. It was an honest mistake as they sound similar. When I asked about the switch after about 10 minutes of the food being dropped off (first time she had checked in) is where the problem started. The server blamed us for her not hearing us even though she had repeated the order, and clarified when we ordered, and when she picked up the incorrect items from the table she told us “it’s going to be a while.” We said that was okay and just asked to have it to go as we had already been there for about 45 minutes and if it was going to be a while, we could go eat at home. As she walked away she mumbled something beneath her breath. We then had to wait another 30 minutes to get the remade food (which was so hot it melted the containers and the plastic bag it was in) and she dropped the check and then ignored/avoided us for another 10-15 minutes before running the card so that we could leave. I was really disappointed how a mix up was handled and having worked in hospitality, I understand mistakes happen, but the way it was handled after the fact was, what I felt was, unacceptable. I hope others have a better experience, but unfortunately this was our experience...
Read moreMy husband I went there for dinner tonight with high hopes. We had the brushetta, the salmon fettuccine and their special, lobster ravioli. Both with side Cesar salads.
We have never had such a flavorless dinner from start to finish.
The brushetta looked pretty but outside of balsamic vinegar, it had no taste. Not nearly enough (if any garlic) and so little basil you couldn't even tell, visually or in taste. And no parm.
Our Cesar salad dressing tasted as if they had watered down the dressing by at least 50-75%, no kidding!
My husband's lobster ravioli was at least palpable, but that's the only complient.
My salmon fettuccine not only came out with the smallest sliver of salmon I'd expect to get, but the fettuccine was a guloutoinous mess. With ZERO flavor. I was hopeful that the salmon would be a saving grace, but no. Even though it was cooked decently, again, NO flavor. It came with a side of "fresh" spinach that I couldn't even stomach more than one bite because again, no flavor and it was started to wilt.
We will not be back. For over $70 total with no alcohol, water only, it was a huge waste of money.
Last, but not least, I will say that at least the wait staff was attentive and friendly. And their ice water...
Read moreThe Meatballs were amazing for an appetizer. But my wife ordered the alfredo and I ordered an Italian sausage pasta dish with cream sauce. Her alfredo was nothing special, my dish was extremely salty and otherwise bland. They served my dish so hot I LITERALLY had to sit and look at it for 10 minutes because the dish they served it on came out the oven and it was actually keeping it too hot to eat. They served the dish on top of another dish because they must've knew it was so hot it would've melted the clear coat on the wood table. In contrast, the dining room was so cold we had to wear jackets - other customers were too. After I got down the road 5 minutes later my wife and I were hit with what I can only explain as that extreme Turkey coma you get from eating hormone fed Turkey on Thanksgiving, right? I mean I nearly fell asleep down the road and my wife never gets tired like that. So strange. So....awesome meatballs, the rest is going to be why this place wont stay in business unless...
