Yummy!
-Dave’s way sandwhich was amazing! -Add some of their house bbq sauce and oh my goodness! We both were in awe. -The brisket was truly delicious and tender.
collard greens were so good!
-potatoe salad, also good but not as much wow factor, but I mean it’s potatoe salad it’s not that crazy, we were happy!
-The Mac bowl. Not as much of a fan, it was presented beautifully but we have some criticism: -The brisket on top was really good of course. -The corn bread was, I hate to say this, but it was just straight up bad. No flavor and reallllly dry and hard. I make cornbread from a box that’s better than that. -the Mac, creamy and cheesy and noodles were chewy which we liked, however no seasoning? Personally this feels like a no no to be to have to rely on adding bbq sauce and brisket to Mac in order for it to have spices. -instead of brisket we could have had it topped with collard greens, I honestly can’t imagine that option. We tried a few bites of collard greens with the Mac and it was very odd.
One thing I will say, if you’re someone like me who normally eats very clean, not a lot of cheese or fat or heavy greasy porky foods, the Mac bowl may not be for you! 😅 yes I enjoyed it for the most part but omg it was heavy! Not for the faint hearted. Luckily my husband and I were splitting the sandwhich and the bowl together, there’s no way I could just sit and eat all that. If you like heavy foods you’ll likely love it, minus the unseasoned Mac and the dry cornbread.
Staff was super friendly and we genuinely enjoyed our meal, most of all the sandwhich and the sides we had with it. We wouldn’t order the Mac bowl again,...
Read moreI recently visited Buckshot Honey in Snoqualmie, WA, and overall, I would rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Nestled in the charming town of Snoqualmie, the restaurant boasts a pleasant and inviting location that adds to the dining experience. The ambiance and friendly staff contribute positively to the atmosphere, making it a nice spot for a casual meal.
The food, however, was a mixed bag. While the menu offers a variety of options, I found the dishes to be just okay, with a few notable drawbacks. The most significant issue was with the brisket. It arrived with a huge slab of fat that should’ve been trimmed before smoking. This oversight significantly affected the texture and enjoyment of the dish. Given the quality, I felt the prices were a bit steep for what we received, which was disappointing.
We also tried other dishes, which were decent but didn’t quite stand out. The sides were flavorful, but again, not enough to justify the higher prices. Despite these shortcomings, there are still redeeming qualities. The location itself is a highlight, offering a scenic and relaxing setting that’s perfect for a laid-back meal. The service was attentive and courteous, which helped elevate the overall experience.
In conclusion, Buckshot Honey is a decent spot if you find yourself in Snoqualmie, but it’s not worth going out of your way to dine there. If you’re in the area, it’s a charming place to visit, but temper your expectations regarding the food quality and pricing. The combination of the lovely location and friendly service makes it a pleasant stop, even if the food doesn’t completely...

I had the Dave’s way sandwich which used a very delicious rye bread. Had the amazing corn bread and most delicious collard greens(try the orange color bottle on the greens most delicious)
Also Dave and all his staff have a great energetic vibe about them.
The owner Dave took the time to answer a bunch of questions about the history of the building and his design styles of the place along with how I could find the artist of some of the paintings on the walls. Please do yourself a favor and try this place. CONCLUSION: So if your looking for a “real”darn good bbq and a very uniquely inspiring atmosphere set in a beautifully preserved historic building, this is a must see in your travels! Legit 5 stars hands down in my...
