First, I'm from MN and I needed to pull off a birthday surprise for someone in the area. I called and spoke to Dorie at Chickadee and she was all in to help plan the surprise! She was so helpful in picking the perfect gift. I went with an assortment box of goodies. I also happened to be ordering flowers from Down to Earth which happens to be right next door to Chickadee. Dorie was so kind and offered to deliver the flowers along with the goodies.

I saw pictures of her baked goods, baked fresh this morning, they were still warm when delivered!!! Plus, the birthday boy said they were so delicious ..10/10 for sure!! I couldn't have asked for better customer service and kindness. Above and beyond!! Please stop here and try their baked goods. Thank you Dorie so much for helping me make the birthday...

We drove out to Snoqualmie yesterday for a ride on The Snoqualmie Steam Train and one of our post ride stops was at the Chickadee Bakeshop. We initially walked past in search of a lunch spot but slowed when we smelled the wonderful smells eminating from their open door. We KNEW we would have to save room for desert ... it was such a prudent decision - I had the Apple Pie and Tam had a slice of the Humble Berry - so delicious. Brilliant level of sweetness and the crust ... wow; these ladies know their way around a pie crust - We shouldn't have eaten the very generous portion but it was way too tempting! We are pre-ordering our holiday deserts from this operation- so worth the ride out from West Seattle!
