pains me to write this after raving about this place for over 7 years.... I made an appt which i NEVER do (but could not wait the usual hour walk In time since I have a newborn at home)...We arrived 16 minutes late because im travelling from Somerset now (still wanted to stay a loyal customer) and we were stuck behind a funeral caravan on rt. 27.....we got there late and waited an additional 15 minutes .. then Elizabeth (the only person my daughter will let do her nails... she's 4) came and said... we waited at 1030 for you guys so i cant do her nails (which is a total lie bc every time I come here ppl with appts are also waiting an additional 30 minutes) I talked to my daughter as she was disappointed and asked Elizabeth.. can someone else do the pedi and u just do her flower? And she said yes. So I got over the lie that they "waited" for us and would have just let it go.... then this happens.. the owner announces... yes announces... we are behind because she did not come at 1030 and was late... one of the other ladies then proceeded with taking a person that was waiting and repeated.... sorry you had to wait but she had appt for 1030 and was late and now we are behind. It took every bit of me to not say a word. I have been going there for so long and have seen ppl WITH appts wait over a half hour. They should be more considerate. I was so embarrassed and it took everything to hold back the tears. It was my FIRST time out since the baby (6 wks) and it was something I was looking forward to doing WITH my daughter who has been adjusting with the shared attention. On top of everything I haven't been sleeping and I didn't cancel knowing how important it was to my daughter... I only slept 3 hours last night ... not back to back bc my newborn is an awful sleeper. Im so disappointed, sad, just emotional about the whole thing! So much for this post partum, hormonal, sleep deprived new mommy of 2 on getting some special time with her first born. Im so sad my daughter cannot go back to her beloved Ms. Elizabeth and I lost a place that I really was devoted...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer for several years. I went to go get a gel manicure and had to do a walk in because it was a last minute decision. I walk in and they said they had time and started to soak my nails to remove my old polish. They made me move three times to different chairs. By the time I sat in the right chair to get them done I had been waiting for more than an hour with my hands soaking. The girl who was supposed to do my nails was still busy with a client so Anna took me. She was so incredibly rude and I don’t even know why. She didn’t even say hello and just abruptly asked me what color I wanted. Then she started filing my nails and gave me an attitude when one hand had longer nails. She asked me if I wanted them cut I said yes a little bit. So then she proceeded to file...... even after I said yes cut them. She never even tried to make conversation this whole time. I was so ready to leave. And I should have. Then she had the audacity to ask me in a rude tone yet again “oh do you have some place to go?” I said yes I did I didn’t expect to be here for almost 2 hours. I just needed them done last minute”. She was like “oh you didn’t make an appt“ and I said no I didn’t. She then huffed and puffed and sighed the remainder of the time. She didn’t even give me a massage. I then went to go pay and she didn’t even ask if I have a membership card. She swiped my credit card and walked away. I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. My nails came out crooked and different lengths. All for what? Being upset because I didn’t have an appt? I’ve made an appt before and I still had to wait over 30 minutes. Beware. They only treat certain customers with respect and everyone else is left to fend for themselves. I don’t think I can even go back again. I would rather pay more money for better service. If you get Anna to do your nails just beware. It’s not...
Read moreIf I could give it one star I would. I had an appointment a pedicure appointment at 3:45. I was seated in the chair for a few minutes soaking my feet like a normal pedicure and the lady began trying to take my polish off with nail polish remover and I interrupt to tell her it’s gel. There could have been a language barrier and I say that because she continued to use nail polish remover. Within 5 minutes she says “gel?” I reply yes. I say I need acrylic on both big toes and gel white polish no cut just file them down. She says okay and then starts to cut my nails and I say no please file them. The says okay and begins to file my toes while coughing all over my legs. She goes to the bathroom comes out takes her tools away from the pedicure area and then grabs and entire new client from the front of the salon to do their nails. I wait about 15 minutes and I decide to call another salon asking can they take me while I’m sitting in the chair. I get up to grab my stuff and I’m assuming the owner a male asks what’s wrong and I tell him how disrespectful it is for me to have an appointment at 3:45 and then not be serviced and have people come in front of me. He immediately replies “she said you scared her” and asked for too many things so I’ll do your nails when I’m done with my customer (who’s nails he just started). I immediately feel disrespected as I barley said anything to her and ask how me asking for a service to be completed the way I want means I’m a scary person. He had no explanation but kept repeating I can wait for him and how she felt I was scary. I ultimately let him know that it’s very ignorant to allow his employees to profile and deem people as “scary” when they just don’t feel capable in completing a service. Never will I go somewhere where I am seen as a threat for being a 24 year old black women who wants a service...
