I went to get acrylics placed about 1.5 weeks ago with appointment placed and they did a beautiful job initially. The nails lasted the entire week during my trip to LA but because it was my first time with tips on I wanted to get them removed sooner than later as I type a lot during school and my vacation was ending.
Because it was last minute decision to remove them without appointment I made sure to arrive as soon as they opened to have them removed and MAYBE even get a manicure done if time allowed (on both ends) I was even okay with making an appointment later in the week or the day to get the manicure done.
When I walked in, no one said good morning or even acknowledged me for a solid 1-2 minutes. I sat down and then one of the staff members asked me if I had an appointment. I said no but that I needed to get the tips removed and possibly a gel manicure. I waited for another 3-4 minutes for a response .... They were not proactive about their jobs.... there was no one else waiting either. It was me, 3 employees and 0 answers. They finally asked me to sit down and it was followed with a very unhappy discontent employee who looked more than annoyed to be anointed to my care. Prior to coming to the nail salon I had already cut the tips partially to make my life easier while typing which I explained to the nail tech. However, he failed to listened to me the 3 times i told him i did that. Then he proceeded to accuse me of not getting my nails done there in the first place. I had no idea where the passive aggression was coming from as I was not gaining anything from lying about where I got my nails done. He accused me about 2 times more after that. Honestly I felt so uncomfortable during my stay there that I just did not want to come back again. I know they do good work, but please. Be more humble and kinder to your customers whether they made an appointment or not. Work more professionally. If you do not want walk-ins then please state "by appointment only," or else do not make it so blatantly obvious you do not want me there. All of them acted...
Read moreUPDATE: 1/7/2024. A month after coming here I developed nail fungus under my toe. Horrible place. Do not recommend. Do not come here. I called on 10/22/2023 because my usual nail tech had an emergency and canceled last minute. I needed my nails done because I was having a baby the next day. I called and asked for a full set acrylic and pedicure. They said they could get me an appointment for that same day so I went in at 12noon. It took about an hour for them to start my pedicure. After that they sat me down with Jeremy. At first the place seemed very nice and welcoming and I mentioned it to him. I told him I wanted a full set of acrylic French nails. He started and we were having a good conversation until he started the French on the nails. I told him I wanted a deep smile French line. He did the first one and I wasn’t happy with it, so he tried again 2 more times at which this point he gets frustrated and starts to yell to do it myself. He was very rude. I told him if I could do it myself I wouldn’t be there in the first place. He then says for me to do one nail as an example. Again I tell him I wouldn’t be there if I could. I show him a picture of what I want which is a simple French and he still isn’t getting it right. He gets frustrated and gets someone else to do it and he gets ready to go home. At this point I have been at this place for 3 hours. I’m frustrated and at this point I just want to leave so I tell the lady who’s now doing my nails that if French nails is too hard she can just do all white nails. She finally finishes at around 3:30. By the time I pay and walk out it’s 3:45pm. It took them almost 4 hours to do a simple pedicure with all white toes and a full set acrylic French nails. I paid $105 for horrible service and an awful experience. By Wednesday 10/25/2023 the nails start lifting and hair getting stuck to them. On Friday 10/27/2023 not even a week after getting my nails done, the thumb nail broke off. And the other nails are very flimsy and are ready to break off. Will never be coming...
Read moreEDIT: Bernadette the owner reached out to me personally to understand the full story of what happened. She apologized and stared that she will address the problem with those two nail technicians and offered for me to come in and be placed with a different nail technician and have my nails fixed for free. I went in today and had Christina do my nails, new photo posted, I am happy with the work she did the color is almost exactly the photo I showed her. I am happy to say these can absolutely be my birthday nails. She was personable and respectful. I even offered to pay the extra for having 5 colors placed on my nails instead of one and Bernadette told me no, so I tipped Tina and left. I will be back because Bernadette knows how to run a business and right wrongs that unfortunately occur to her clients. I already booked my gel fill for 3 weeks. Again this salon’s name is now Polished and it is clean and is right on 46 so it’s extremely convent with parking. They don’t just offer nail services but facials and spray tanning as well which I will be sure to try.
These are supposed to be my birthday nails…..ruined and “ugly” said the nail tech at this salon on Wednesday when I got them done that took over an hour for a gel fill and I was asked are you sure these are UV gel after the same girl had done my nails the three times I have gone to this salon. Today is Sunday and my nail is already broken! I will NEVER be back! The two Spanish speaking nail techs in the back of the room are rude and messy they talk about the client to each other in Spanish and guess what?! I can understand them but said nothing until now! I enjoyed this salon for its vibes and proximity to my house but I will never be back or refer anyone to this salon again. Back on the hunt I go for a...
