Tropical Audubon Society — Attraction in South Miami

The Tropical Audubon Society of South Florida is a very nice place to be! They have tours of the Doc Thomas house every first Saturday of each month. They have eco-restoration tours every third Saturday of each month. They have many other fun events planned throughout the year. I have volunteered here about 3 times. If I lived in Miami this place would be my home away from home. It's peaceful, charming and historical. The house on the grounds is worth a visit. There are many places throughout the grounds to find a quiet spot to read a book and listen to the birds.

They also do a lot of events. The Birdstock is my favorite! Until you see it, it is hard to beleive this place exists amongst all the noisy goings on...

A breath of fresh air from the busy streets. The historic house has coffee and comfy chairs where you can talk with others about conservation in Miami.
