Service was poor. Food was decent and fresh. But the service needs serious work.
We arrived, sat outside, and waited quite a while for a server to show. The restaurant did not seem too busy as we arrived pretty early for dinner. We ordered our meal, waited a normal amount of time for it to arrive, and the server brings out a bowl of soup and a shrimp salad that we did not order at all. The server seemed confused (it was not the one who took our order) and then realized it was for a different table. The people at that table called him over and he served it to him. Next, our food arrived and was decent and fresh. It wasn't something that was truly "wow" enough that I would want to go back, but it was a nice meal and well prepared.
But then the bill came. My wife was about to pay it and took out her credit card. I happened to look over and saw the amount seemed way too high for what we ordered. I then looked at it carefully, and found that THEY HAD BILLED US FOR THE SOUP AND SALAD WE DID NOT ORDER. I had to go inside the building, find a server, and make notes on the bill for the items we had not ordered. He actually seemed to doubt me when I told him about it. I honestly think he felt I was lying or something.
They came out and adjusted the bill but we did not get an apology at all. This was an egregious error--one that would have been incredibly easy to overlook--and they did not find a way to apologize.
Summary: they did not have attention to detail for our visit. I would not go back and I would recommend that you carefully scan your bill for erroneous charges if you choose...
Read moreBlend whisked me away with their bold tastes and fresh components. I attempted the shrimp and also avocado salad as well as believed it was definitely perfect! I really did not believe I was that starving yet I wound up devouring my entire dish. The cilantro-ginger vinaigrette was light, fresh, not also acidic and free to the shrimp. There is seriously not a salad dressing that states "me" more than cilantro-ginger. I like the fresh top quality ginger constantly includes to a dish. The shrimp was smoked and had a small char to it. The grill flavor advised me of eating barbequed shrimp outdoors in Vietnam. The avocado was fresh as well as made the salad also more delicious. The only point concerning the environment that I disliked was how loud the area was. The wall surfaces or ceiling do not absorb audio well and all the audios in the area really jump off and make it hard to chat. They market present cards and do accept reservations on Yelp. I assume it's pretty cool that this location also caters. Usually, when an area says they cater, they frequently obtain more service from catering than they do as a restaurant however this one appears to be preferred in both areas. The vehicle parking great deal is very limited as well as there isn't a lot of street auto parking alternatives. They, strangely, have a $6 valet car parking option. The dining establishment is usually crowded as well as hectic. I came flat-out but was able to get seated for a sit-down...
Read moreVery disappointed last night. After years of coming to our local (one of our favorite spots) dining spots, it just might be the last. First of all when we arrived they couldn’t seat us outside because they had a “reservation” then sat us inside at a high top table. Of course when we left the same tables outside they couldn’t seat us at we’re still empty. Our waitress also had outside tables and it was a good 10 minutes before she even came by to take our drink orders. She also took our dinner order, placing it in the kitchen and disappeared back outside. We couldn’t get a refill to our drinks, and to add insult to injury, I watched our order finish through the glass wall and sit under the warmer for another 10 minutes, all along they were running bag after bag for Uber eats/door dash deliverables which now seems to be their main focus. You can see this by the way they closed off one dining room and use it as a launching area for delivering. I had to get the manger to bring us our meals and of course she apologized and the went right back to shuffling brown bags. Not even an apology from the waitress who only showed back up to drop off the check. Touché, just another Miami restaurant who forgot it was us locals who made them successful and not that my never going back matters to them, because if it mattered, then last night wouldn’t have happened. But it matters to me and my family who support locals who...
