Technically it's America, functionally it's Mexico. There's more Mexico license plates in the parking lot then American ones. I would have probably had a better time If I spoke Spanish. The hotel charge my card for the first night 4hrs before check in while I was still in rought. The parking lot was one long lane coming in and one long lane going out with an up hill walk to the hotel. The view from the two story room was of a wall of the side of the adjacent hotel. There was no Jacuzzi and the swimming pool was very small, very crowded. I think I was lucky, and I was thankful that the AC worked fine and the toilet flushed. The rooms and the hotel was good enough for the price and location. The Bistro out back was nice. The manager there was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The ocean overlook in the back was a nice place to hangout drink eat and enjoy the view of the ocean. The beach was right out the back of the hotel and made the trip worth it. There is a boardwalk with a hand full of restaurants bars and hotels all linked together. Very cool setup. Tons of places to sit around and enjoy the beach life with no concerns of drinking and driving. Front desk staff seemed unwelcoming. I asked for a copy of the paper I signed when I checked in with the charges that would occure during the stay since they chraged me before I even got there and was told I would get a copy of it when I checked out. When I checked out I did not get any recipe. Most of the guests also seemed rude. The people up stairs would let their kid use the rolling ottoman as a cart to ride on on tile floors till midnight. Complained about to the front desk at least two times the same night over the people above us. Very little insolation from room to room. Would not stay here if it wasn't for the location. Will be picking a different hotel if I ever go back. Some things they could help some things they I can't and I understand that. I would give a 5 out of 10.

Stayed Monday through Friday for a family vacation. Booked 2 rooms, requested beach view adjoining rooms. Got partial beach view rooms 5 doors down from each other. We were given choice of that or adjoining but no beach view. 🙄 1 room had a bathroom floor rug with candy stuck to it folded and placed on the shelf, a clump of hair on the bathroom floor, the toilet handle and shower handle were loose and didn’t work correctly. The other room had a toilet that flushed very very slow if at all. Called the front desk, said they’d send someone up to look at it, never saw anyone about the toilet. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The hallways were HOT! The elevator was even HOTTER! The staff left a bin full of trash outside the elevator on the 4th floor for HOURS with flies flying all around it. There was laundry piled in the hallways and neighbors were loud. The pool is very very small! There were no blankets on the beds, just sheets and we had to ask the staff for blankets and towels. When I addressed all of these concerns with the assistant manager the morning after checking in, she stated “I’m not saying it’s yours but the Candy looks fresh” and “let me review who was working and I will call you in a little bit to let you know what we can do”. She never got back to me. Called corporate, waiting to hear back from them. At this point. I will just not use a Wyndham hotel ever again.

My husband and I have stayed in rooms located in 3rd world countries that were better maintained and cleaner than the room we had. We opted for the king room 243 ocean view costing us $275 a night, which was not worth half. The bed had hospital sheets for covers that were so thin, the pillows were barely fluffed and looked like they have seen better days, there were stains on the bed sheets that most likely didn’t wash out (why don’t they just throw them out and buy new ones at this point??) the unit AC was so old that the room was always humid, and the pool was so small and pathetic. The couch was greasy looking that we had to cover it during our entire stay. There was also dust all over the appliances that we had to go to the nearest Walmart to buy Clorox wipes since we couldn’t trust the cleaning service at this point. Now to the bathroom: the tub was peeling and had hair in it from previous people. It was so gross that we had to shower in our sandals. Room service is not available after a certain time so when we had asked for extra covers for our bed, they told us to come get them from the front desk. Breakfast was decent, better than most 3 star hotels, but nothing to write home about. At that price per night the least we expect is cleanliness and well kept maintenance. All in all, we would never come here again. Should have opted for the Hilton instead.

This place is awesome! If we ever come back to the island, I am staying here. The place has great staff that are respectful and friendly. The pastries and gift shop could not be more budget friendly and high-quality products. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location was great, too! Spent several days on the beach, and there is great wildlife out there! Overall, I only have one complaint. There are 2 main bathrooms in the hotel building (outside of the bedroom bathrooms). The first bathroom is on the first floor by the lobby and is single-occupancy, with no problems here. But there is also a restroom in the breakfast room (on the 4th floor). The breakfast room has the lights off but the door is unlocked in the case that you may need to use the restroom. If you enter the men's restroom at night you will not leave the same. All I can say is it is HAUNTED. But if you are a normal guest then chances are you don't need to use this bathroom at night. Overall, it's a great hotel and you just need to to steer clear of this area. If you are seeking a thrill maybe check it out but don't go alone. But other than that this hotel is the best of the best. Ryan and Luis were great front desk people. Very clean and not a bug in sight. The pool and restaurant were the absolute bomb. I would stay here if I was you just use the 4th floor bathroom at your own risk

This place was great, we were able to get a room ocean view for 4 days. This place does allow pets to stay as well, there were several people who brought their dogs. It is very clean/neat. There is a free breakfast everyday from I believe 6:30am-9:30am, the breakfast room has a variety of things to choose from. scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs with sausage mixed together, biscuits, gravy, fruit, yogurt, donuts, bagels, waffles & syrup, coffee, milk, apple juice or orange juice. I think there was also oatmeal, but not sure. I took a picture of our breakfast and the front desk staff/the housekeepers were very friendly. The atmosphere there was positive & relaxing. We got there on a Thursday night/we got to see a fireworks show which I thought was really neat. They had a fireworks show on Friday/Saturday as well/they also had a band that played music out on the patio-deck right off of the hotel, that had a great view of the ocean/a little bar on the patio deck as well. Claytons Bar/grill had a great chicken fajita meal, I would definitely order that again & the margarita's at the La Quinta Inn are pretty good as well. Sunday night was completely quiet no fireworks or bands playing. I would absolutely come visit/stay here again. Hoping to go back soon & stay at the La Quinta inn, I hope the same staff is there as well, they were very nice.

This hotel was an amazing stay! 🌟 The location couldn’t have been better for everything happening in the area, especially if you're looking to be in the heart of it all. The rooms? Surprisingly nice—definitely spring for the beachfront option! The view is so worth it. 🌊 The pool area was awesome with plenty of spots to grab a drink (though I wish they sold draft beer 🍻). Speaking of drinks, you’ve got to check out Clayton’s Beach Bar—the vibes are always on point! 🌅🍹 There’s also a fantastic Mexican restaurant next door, so you're never far from great food. 🌮 Service? Top-notch. Every single staff member we met was super friendly and helpful—made the stay that much better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good time! 👍 It’s family-friendly too, so you can bring the whole crew along. 👨👩👧👦 Oh, and here’s a cool perk—every morning, there was breakfast just down the hall from our floor. And trust me, it wasn’t your average hotel breakfast—really good stuff! 🍳☕️ The AC in the rooms was also amazing, keeping us nice and cool after long days in the sun. We were lucky enough to catch Sandcastle Days while we were here, and wow, the sculptures were out of this world! 🏖️✨ If you’re coming for that event, it’s the perfect place to stay. Awesome sights, great vibes, and unforgettable memories.
