La Isla Vacation Rentals — Local services in South Padre Island

This establishment acts as if they are a five-star experience but falls short in a one-star reality. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with an extensive list of rules to review, and I mean extensive, rather than simply leaving a copy in the room like grown adults would expect. Next, the requirement to wear wristbands for the entirety of one's stay, despite discomfort and inconvenience, seems excessive, especially for longer stays. Furthermore, the lack of record-keeping for condo owners poses a significant challenge in resolving any issues that may arise during the stay, rendering the staff's assistance practically useless.

Additionally, the disparity between the number of amenities and the size of the property is striking. With a what looks like at least 500 units on-site, the presence of only two Jacuzzis raises questions about accessibility and availability, particularly during peak hours. This shortage becomes even more apparent when attempting to utilize these facilities on a Sunday evening, only to find them overcrowded and lacking in serenity.

The premature closure of pool areas “10 pm” denies guests the opportunity to enjoy these amenities after the crowds have dispersed, a disappointing oversight given the potential for relaxation and tranquility the only time possible. While some level of regulation is expected in shared spaces, the resort's stringent policies and limited accommodations for adult guests detract from the overall experience, leaving patrons feeling shortchanged despite their investment. I would never visit this property again, even if to was the last property on the island. Beautiful building, terrible management decisions, feels like your vacation in a communist country versus a fun relaxing...

I am not a person to complain but unfortunately the condo was dirty, the outlets in both bathrooms did not work, very hard to get ahold of the host, incorrect WiFi information which I had to ask the host three times for it then call her stating that it would be sent then it was not so I texted her and finally got it the information, and no cable like it said it would have. AC would not keep up and it was only 70-75 degrees outside. Then the second to last day we had no running water other than a few droplets. We called the host, she said that she would call maintenance then stated that they were on their way. After awhile she then said because it was raining that they would not come to see what the issue was, and the host did not care even a little bit about us not having running water. It’s not acceptable to be in a condo without running water. We ended up having to stay at another hotel due to the issues. The host then had the audacity to send $35.00 only which I am unsure where that number came from to begin with as that would not cover even half of...

We stayed there for a week in July and the condo was great. Kitchen was fully equipped, comfy furniture, great views from the big balcony and big beds in the bedroom.

Upon arrival is easy to park in the drop down area to get up to the condo all the baggage thanks to the fast elevators and a baggage trolley they have in the lobby.

The pool is excellent, great temperature and has enough lounge chairs to relax.

The beach area is amazing and you can rent a big spacious tent or put your own and have fun all day.
