The area has a relaxed vibe with a good selection of packaged snacks, sodas, and water available for purchase. A great plus is that you’re allowed to bring your own beverage aboard—as long as it’s in a plastic bottle or non-glass container (glass is not permitted).

I’ve been fortunate to experience ocean wildlife excursions all over the world — from South America to Africa to Australia — and sadly, this was the least respectful interaction with ocean wildlife I’ve witnessed.

There were many baby dolphins present, yet the boats failed to maintain the recommended 50-yard distance. The level of intrusion was deeply concerning, especially given how vulnerable the animals can be with young in a small bay with 3-5 boats closing in at any given time.

The most disturbing part came at the end of the tour, when a crew member passed around a starfish and puffer fish for every single guest to touch. There was no handwashing, no education, and no precautions — just these animals being handled by dozens of hands coated in sunscreen, food, and more.

While the crew was friendly and the boat itself was fine, the lack of environmental care, education, and ethical distance from wildlife — particularly mothers with young — made the experience incredibly upsetting.
