We stayed at Margaritaville for 5 days last week. Since LandShark is THE restaurant for the resort, we ate there twice during the trip. The food is overpriced and is average, at best. We ate outside on the patio for both instances mentioned below.
During our first dinner there the service was quick and the food was average. It was extremely busy so I was surprised that we got served so quickly. However, the first 4 things we ordered from the appetizer and entre menus were out of supply so we had to keep looking for other dishes to order.
During our second dinner, it took our server 14 minutes to even acknowledge us and a total of 25 minutes to get water delivered before we ordered. After we ordered our meals, they took exactly 30 minutes to arrive, which was a total of 55 minutes to receive our food after we were seated. In the server’s defense he was sat 4 additional tables at once after we were sat and he had one other table already. 5 out of his 6 tables were all sat within 5 minutes. Not his fault but service suffered as a result of this.
I do a lot of Google reviews so I usually time sit down restaurants and drive throughs.
We were throughly frustrated at waiting nearly an hour to get food, and when we got the food it was cold. Not even luke warm; it was cold like it had been sitting on a table in the open for 20 minutes. The best part of the meal was the live music being played outside on the patio.
Out of frustration we decided to eat at other places on the island for the duration of our trip so we’d have faster service and warm food. In theory we could have eaten every single meal for lunch and dinner at Landshark for our entire stay but that was an undesirable thought based on our experiences there twice so far.
I recommend taking your business elsewhere. LandShark Bar & Grill does not match up to the quality of the Margaritaville resort and there are plenty of family owned and small business style restaurants on the island that want your business badly, who will work harder and provide better...

Read moreI did not have a good experience at this restaurant, the food was good and everyone other server we came into contact with was very polite, however our server Cindy was the worst server I’ve ever had. She was incredibly rude to my friends and I right off the bat for absolutely no reason. We ordered alcoholic drinks and she scoffed at my friend and asked “are you even old enough for this?” Then when we offered her our IDs she didn’t look at them. One of us tried to order a mr pibb (which is on the menu) and she snapped and said she didn’t have that. She was incredibly confused about who was ordering what and constantly needed clarification (which is so fine however she was not nice at all.) At the beginning of dinner we had to tell her at least ) times that we needed to spilt the bill 4 ways, before she finally snapped and said she can’t split it 4 ways because of the added gratuity charge and we needed to condense, so we agreed to split it 3 instead as to not incur the automatic gratuity. Then at the end of dinner she brings us the bills and says that she couldn’t split the bill 3 ways without the added 18% gratuity charge. On the menu it states that the added charge is for parties over 6 which we clearly weren’t. I’m assuming she added it because she knew her service was awful and was anticipating not being tipped. I do think I would eat here again, however if I see Cindy in the restaurant I’m immediately...
