I love farmers market so of course I said yes when my bible study ladies wanted to check out this one. The location is very convenient because it is right next to a metro station, although I did end up driving. Street parking is pretty easy to find though, as long as you're willing to walk a block or two. This is not a really large farmer's market, but the size is decent and they have a good number of vendors. I got there pretty late though so I didn't get to check out the produce vendors; I went straight for the food ones.
I don't remember the name of the booth we went to but they sold pupusas and lemonades. I got two pupusas for $6 and a large watermelon lemonade for $3. Their prices are reasonable and the food was pretty good. There is limited seating in the "food court" section so we just sat down on the curb to eat. Carmela Ice Cream was also there and I wanted to get some of their delicious ice cream, but they weren't selling scoops, just pints, so I ended up not getting any. The other food vendors looked pretty good, so I think this is a good place to check out for dinner or a snack on...
Read moreThis is one of the best Farmers' Markets around! I usually like coming to this one because ones in the city like Silver Lake or Downtown LA can be so busy and really hard to find parking. This one is right beside the South Pasadena Public Library so you can usually find parking on the surrounding side streets.
I love the way this Farmers' Market is set up, there is such a big variety of vendors to go to. My favorite ones to go to are Healthy Butter (homemade nut butters they're INCREDIBLE), Apple Sherrill Orchards (freshly squeezed natural juices), Blöde Kuh (vegan cheeses and spreads), and Dave's (Korean vegan side dishes)! Let's not forget that there are so many food trucks to go to as well. My favorite one is Mama Musubi which is probably one of the most popular food trucks considering there's always a super long line. They specialize in making gourmet rice balls and have vegetarian/vegan...
Read moreI LOVE THIS FARMER'S MARKET! :) I'm a farmer's market girl and this is my favorite in the area. It's not the biggest farmer's market but it has that South Pasadena charm to it. Open on Thursdays only from 4pm-8pm. Parking might be a challenge but it's worth parking a few streets over for. The PUPUSAS is one of the reasons why I keep coming back! So delicious with the guacamole, sour cream, pickled vegetables and salsa that comes with it - I'm drooling just thinking about it. Also, so many food vendors and samples to try! Garlic fries! Mama Musubi! Indian Food! Oysters! Rotisserie Chicken! The salsa/pita chip stand with their many sauces is a must visit. There's also a Bolani stand that's very tasty, too. Bring a blanket so you can picnic on the grass while devouring your delicious food. Buy some sunflowers before you go home to make your...
