This place is darling. I got exactly what I needed, a private spa experience. During Covid you need to book the place to yourself (or with a friend) $130 for 2 hours. I loved having the steam room and hot tub to myself. I enjoyed the scrub. The massage was more like a soft body rub, not a trained massage, in fact no English spoken so no way to check in or ask me anything about my body or preferences. It was more like a nurturing mother or grandmother rubbing you, very sweet, but not getting any kinks out. It felt wonderful, just depends what you are looking for. Funny when I booked on the phone I thought wow, $130 is a steal for a private experience!! BUT after being there, the price seems right. The space is quaint, but not luxury. For instance, the walls are peeling, the lights are dirty, the hot tub smells like wet dog, the scrub table smells moldy & going face down was impossible for me without gagging a bit. No complaints about the steam room! There was a cute wooden bathtub but I was not invited to use it. IN fact when I first arrived I was trying to shower and the woman kept urging me just get in the hot tub (without showering? ). You supposedly get 1 hour with the scrub and 1 hour to soak. I was able to soak & steam before and after. I would definitely do this again. I was already thinking about a few people I'd...
Read moreWorst experience of my life in a spa and I go to spa since I am 13 years old. I love Korean Spa, and I will never go again at that place. They basically scraped my skin badly, I still have scare on moles 4 months after... and had a bad rash for a month. I had to see the dermatologist twice because of it, it cost me $420 with insurance, and had a mole take out as it shape wasn't going back to normal. Worse thing, the spa never apologize, neither check on me after the owner saw my skin herself, lie to my face pretending she wasn't the boss, and make me pay for my treatment saying the boss only allowed her to do a discount... So basically, make me pay for a terrible treatment and told me it was my faute if I was allergic to their (horrible) products... Save yourself pain and money, drive a bit further to Olympic or Crystal Spa and don't go at V Spa! The lady who own and manage the spa have no respect for people! The only thing I was able to do is complaining to the credit card company, who refund me the treatment after sending them pics and dermatologist report. Thanks to a friend who recommended that, I had no idea you can do that. The Spa still cost me $420 of medical bill....Run...
Read moreIt's a cute spa. It's a bit small but perfect if you don't want to feel crowded. I got the V Spa Special which included the Korean body scrub, hair wash, cucumber face mask, and oil massage. It was great. I left feeling relaxed amd soft. It looks like they're still working out some kinks as they were quite a bit disorganized: Massages were set on post it notes which left the staff completely confused, no appointment times were given forthree massages, and another customer actually was behind the counter. I'm a bit curious as to what they do with the scrubs that they use on each individual person. I've been to other Korean Spas where they give you the scrub as they can't reuse it but in this case they didn't. I do hope they're not reusing it on customers. I didn't see any trash bins filled with scrubs or any additionally scrubs available for staff. Parking was not pleasant. Although given the location in Pasadena, it's expected. I will say that the staff I did connect with were...
