Five years ago we purchased a direct to consumer mattress (after 8 months of research) that was rated Top 3 in reviews, blogs, forums, etc. It felt great at first, but after 2 years, we started getting dips and the mattress never felt as good as the beginning. We also both started feeling sore in them morning, but attributed it to getting older (54 and 43 respectively). While traveling abroad in the fall we encountered great hotel mattress after great mattress. We came home determined to get find better sleep. I attempted to gain access to mattresses exclusive to the luxury resorts we stayed at, but no luck. Or, the process and price was so ridiculous it caused me to question my sanity. So, I began looking domestically. After some searching, I decided to revisit Purple. I found by pure luck they have a showroom in Salt Lake City. Previously, this was one of the reasons I failed to select Puple. Many consumers commented on its "unusual" feeling. With no way to try it 5 years ago, I was too apprehensive to pull the trigger. Fast forward. I took my wife with the intent to selct the Purple 4 Hybrid. I have back issues due to an injury 25 years ago. We visited the location at 291W 2100 S in Salt Lake City. The layout was great and they had all offerings available. No one was pushy and left us to try and experience on our own. I quickly understood the unique "feeling". My wife equated it to feeling like a waterbed; that supported yet floaty feeling. We both also quickly realized we wanted/needed a firmer feeling mattress so we moved to the Premier 3 Hybrid.I prefer sleeping on my stomach and my side. She is a side and back sleeper. This was a perfect blend of support and comfort. I ordered ours 3-4 days later after a little more research. we have been on it for a few weeks now. We both wake refreshed and energized. Some key takeaways: The matress NEVER sleeps hot. The support; no matter the position, is incredible. When paired with the Harmony(mine) or Original (wife's) pillow, the sleep experience literally cannot be beat. The staff and sales experince is exceptional at this location. Fiona helped us get the Hybrid 3 and we got everything from the adjustable Frame, Harmony mid pillows, sheets and pajamas…… all of it is amazing. I highly recommend using the stretchy sheets with the mattress for best support (design).
We love the purple bed, it has helped with my hot sleeping and my wife has been sleeping much better to (she is pregnant and hasn’t been sleeping well prior to this purchase). The adjustable frame is definitely worth a try! We weren’t even considering it until we tried it…. I wouldn’t have it any other way…. Zero Gravity mode feels great ( perfect for the pregnant wife too). Me and the wife find the Hybrid 3 the most comfortable and supportive ( im 6’2” 205LBS and the wife is 5’2” 130 lbs) the 4 was just lacking a bit of support but the 3 is just right ( subjective ). I like medium firm and the wife likes a complete moosh pile so im very surprised we agreed on this Hybrid 3 ( Says something)
Harmony pillow! No words…. They figured out the pillow and I highly recommend anyone get one before they waste anymore sleep without one. Again get the Purple Stretchy pillowcases. I like a pillow that dissolves and is thin…… the wife likes a thicker supportive pillow…. We both love this new Harmony Mid pillow so that must mean something..

Read moreBeware!! Factory seconds are not the same and Purple will not do anything to ensure some sort of quality expectation. They are only interested in making a buck! You are on your own after the purchase!!! We purchased a factory second mattress on 01/24/2023. We paid $2,640 for a factory second. We were told there is nothing wrong with the bed except a possible cosmetic defect. How could you sell a bed that had anything else wrong with it.
Both my wife and I wake up every morning with a sore back and ribs. We had an expectation the mattress only had a cosmetic defect but it is the worst mattress we have ever owned. We cannot sleep on this mattress. It came rolled up. How were we to know it was not going to work for us or that it had something wrong with it, other than a cosmetic defect. I called Purple, "Sorry we told you no warranty!"
Shame on Purple for not even trying to help a verified customer. How can you sell something that you will not allow the customer to see before they purchase. The bed in your store is not the bed I received. You did not even offer to exchange it for another factory second. You do not provide any type of warranty for something you know is defective.
Do not even think of purchasing a factory second with Purple unless you have a lot of money to lose. Shame...
