1-Star Review – Extremely Disappointing Experience
We visited the GameStop in Washington on Sunday, July 20th, and it was easily one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone working at this location is unbelievably rude. We came in for a simple exchange—just replacing a broken Xbox controller—and the guy working that day had a nasty attitude for no reason. He was short, unhelpful, and clearly annoyed that we even asked questions.
There’s also a woman who works there who was equally unpleasant. She got snippy with us simply because we’re not GameStop members. That’s not how you treat paying customers. The staff here completely lack professionalism, have zero personality, and make you feel unwelcome the second you walk through the door. It’s like customer service is a foreign concept to them.
Honestly, it’s no surprise stores like this are closing. Employees like the ones at this location are exactly why people take their business elsewhere. I never had this kind of issue at the Robinson Mall location. That store had friendly, knowledgeable staff who actually cared. It's a shame that one got shut down while this disaster of a store is still open.

Me and my boyfriend went in to get two xbox one controllers one controller had broke buttons and the other had a headphone jack jammed into took both controllers back and got new ones and now the other ones doesn’t work at all the RB button is jammed and the xbox button doesn’t work they need to stop buying broken accessories and reselling them and don’t get me started on the game prices and the trade in my boyfriend went in with 100 dollars worth of PS4 games he only got 15 dollars cash or 25 dollars in credit this business is taking vantage of people and selling them junk the disks of games are damaged the controllers and Controls hardly work the customer service people in the store are rude as hell they don’t listen to what you have to say but they want you to hear what they want to say. The recent implementation of PC gaming components/accessories is slowly and steadily growing. I've never had a problem with a purchase from this (or any) GameStop location. I seriously recommend choosing GS for all your gaming/nerd needs. The Pro Rewards is way more than worthwhile as they give you a $5 monthly reward certificate to be used toward most purchases PLUS the bonus of other rewards from sales and purchases and a magazine.
