SEE UPDATED INFO BELOW including 2 pics showing response from Marriott on Messenger
We stayed @ this hotel 9/7 - 9/10/25. The rooms were run down. The bathroom was horrible & in disrepair. I opened up my sheet & it looked clean, but it smelled like a woman's cologne. The next day after I got ready & pulled the sheet further, there was blood stains on the bottom sheet & the flat sheet on top. I was totally grossed out. Later that I night I went down to the front desk. There was a dark skinned man that had checked us in. I asked if he was the Manager, he said "kind of". ?? What does that mean? I told him that I wanted to let him know about the blood stains on the sheets, I showed him pictures. I also told him that the sheet also smelled of women's cologne. He quickly got on his phone & said he would get ahold of the Manager of that department. At that point, it was late & I told him that I didn't need to have the sheets changed. I just slept on the other bed. In this situation, it really grossed me out. It tells me shows me that they don't wash the sheets after guests leave. I don't think we'll be staying there in the future & I would advise others not to either. What a disappointment, this gives the 'Marriott Hotels' name a bad reputation.
UPDATE: I sent a msg to Marriott Hotels using Messenger, pls see their reply in the 2nd & 3rd picture.
First of all, for some reason I found it very difficult to try to contact anyone through their website (Springhill Suites), then to try to enter a review, then to upload pictures.
After giving the confirmation# to the rep from Marriott Hotels on Messenger, as they requested, they told me that my husband (the reservation holder) needs to msg them directly. As quote "To ensure the privacy and security or our guests". I am the spouse, that was traveling with my husband & should be on his Marriott Rewards account. This is NOT to make any changes to a future reservation, but to make their corporate office aware of the condition of this hotel & quality of their guest experience.
1 - I am NOT trying to acquire any banking account/credit card information 2 - I am NOT making a request for any medical records 3 - I wanted to make Marriott aware of the image that this location of Springhill Suites is projecting & how this hotel represents their Marriott brand.
I AM allowing people to see how this company handles improper upkeep of their facilities & to make them aware of the customer's experience.
I will not be wasting any more of my time with any more contact with Marriott. It's just a big joke, they don't care about their...
Read moreThis is the worst Marriott Hotel I have ever been to. There was no one at the desk when we arrived, we had to walk around and find a small bell to ring for service. We were then greeted by a gentleman who looked as if he may have not showered in a couple days and grabbed his shirt out of a dirty laundry hamper and got dressed for work. He was polite and we were given a room on the first floor. There was confusion on his part about the cost of the room. He quoted us a higher amount than we were given when we booked the room online and he couldn’t explain why. As soon as we turned the corner to walk to our room, we were hit with an overwhelming and offensive smell of food spices and or trash. It was a combination of maybe an employee break room and the trash cans. I’m not sure if it was rotting food or where it was coming from but the smell was horrible and continued down the entire Hallway. There was a door wide open from the hallway into the employee area where you could see piles of dirty towels Laying on the floor.
When we walked into the room, there was a new offensive smell of stale mildew. The walls were yellowed and marked up; carpet was covered in stains. The room looked like there was furniture and wall Decor missing. Not how you would expect a hotel room to be staged. I was expecting a “suite” but this was a hotel room with a tiny sink and mini fridge. The arms of the couch were black with thick grime. I walked around to the bed where there was a dead flower stem laying on the floor. My kids were SO excited to go swimming but at this point I didn’t trust the pool. I went to get our bags and when I got back I tried getting them dressed. That’s when I saw the black mascara stains on the pillows and the BOOGER smeared on the wall.
The whole place was DISGUSTING. We were in the room for maybe 10 minutes when I quickly grabbed up our things and went to the front desk. Of course there was no one there again to help us. We rang the bell and when the gentleman came back out, I notified him that we could not stay in the room and that we needed to cancel our reservation. He then informed me that he could not cancel or refund the room fee. I asked multiple times to speak to someone who could give me more information but all he could do was hand me generic hotel card and he wrote the name “Jen” on the top. No last name or title. He told me to call her tomorrow and she could “probably help me”. He told me that he could only...
Read moreChecked in on a Friday night for a short business trip. My Marriott Bonvoy status was not acknowledged as is common practice at Marriott properties. I noticed a sign at the front desk saying the property was being renovated - this had not been previously communicated via email or on the hotel website/app.
When I arrived on my room floor, half the hallway was blocked by an upturned couch and other furniture. This was the hotel’s way of preventing guests from accessing the construction area where rooms were being renovated - very unprofessional.
I entered my room, which looked like it had been renovated (new vinyl flooring instead of carpet). It was very stuffy because the AC was not turned on. I tried to turn on the overhead lights, but they did not work. I tried turning on the large lamp near the couch, but it was not plugged in. The closest outlet was on the far side of the couch, so I plugged it in - it still didn’t work. Neither did the two lamps next to the bed. The only lights that worked were in the bathroom and over the fridge/sink area.
I called downstairs to explain the problem. The immediate response should have been an apology and an offer to change my room. The front desk attendant seemed hesitant and unsure though - she focused mostly on the fact that she didn’t know why the lights wouldn’t be working. After a few minutes, she said she could switch me to a jacuzzi room “at no extra charge.” I told her I was fine with whatever room she had available, so long as it was functional.
I was moved to what I assumed was an upgrade room on the first floor. This was the dirtiest Marriott room I’ve ever been in. The jacuzzi was disgusting - clear debris/mold in the jets and two bars of soap stuffed in the drain. The carpet was frayed and stained. The couch arms were clearly stained. The curtains were stained. The toilet seat was loose and not completely connected to the base. The sink near the coffee had rust/mold in the drain. And someone else’s Chick Fil A soda was in the mini fridge when I opened it.
I would have asked for another room or to cancel my reservation, but at this point it was late and I had to get up early for work. I also didn’t trust that the hotel wouldn’t charge me for the room even though it was clearly in very bad condition.
Do not stay at...
