Lived there for four years, the gym is decent - dumbbells up to 80lbs. Pool is beautiful however it's almost always packed and just a heads up, it's saltwater. So while it's great for swimming underwater with your eyes open, it's rarely ever completely clean compared to chlorine. There are a lot of families that live there so you can imagine.
Many people have pets, which is awesome; adorable pups everywhere, the only downside is that there are people walking their dogs everywhere. They often walked them up to my porch scaring off my birds, I experienced unadapted animals being "aggressive" on a handful of occasions so just be aware of that.
When it comes to staff for the most part, everyone is welcoming; however, members of the new staff do have a significant amount of people walking on eggshells. If/when you start integrating with the community - that welcoming attitude quickly turns into something mildly annoying .
There is a lot of construction going on. A new complex is being built along with a new plaza. I work from home so I needed to soundproof my apartment to be able to concentrate due to all of the construction sounds (imagine a constant "beep beep beep" from various equipment starting at 7 am - even on Saturdays) which leads to one of my main reasons for moving.
The noise, I lived on the bottom floor and the pipes are all connected so I could hear every time anyone above me used their restroom. The walls or insulation are extremely thin so you constantly hear every movement of everyone in your vicinity.
Maintenance is okay, if you have a simple request they will usually solve it the next day but anything that actually matters will not get taken care of. I left with 3 requests that were 3 months old.
Black mold. This was the driving reason which made me leave. I was getting headaches and feeling lethargic out of nowhere. I tore everything apart and found it everywhere.
I gave three stars because it was an okay place to live. The (usually broken) coffee maker, mediocre gym, and (for this area) pool were okay. Personally I would never recommend anyone to live there.
Edit:
The gate was broken for a few months. I witnessed someone breaking into a neighbors vehicle. Then mine was broken into. I brought that to the attention of the office and was laughed at. I had to go over their heads and contact corporate. They finally replaced the gate; which (as you can see) is only there for the perception of security. Anyone can walk past it - every doordash and instacart driver in the area has a code. When I lived there, the code was only changed once. My Merceedes was broken into twice, the second time something was stolen and I filed a...
Read moreâ I didnât forget about you,Youâre just not my priorityâ. Is not a phrase a resident would generally expect to hear especially from senior management, After an issue/ concern was voiced. Unfortunately this exactly what was stated after writing an email to address the situation only for it to be sat on for about month and half before getting any response until a face to face sit down was put on the spot once both parties were in the club house. And yet it has been another 3 weeks without any response to the situation. Iâm guessing if they ignore it they feel it will just go away.
My concern was the fact that after I did an interview/ walk through and application, I was quoted one price and when I drove down ready to move in I was told the apartment was ready, and that price was in fact not was available even tho it was what was written on the price sheet. After long day a driving and not having a place to go back to I walked into the apartment just wanted a shower.
I couldnât do that because the bathroom and shower were completely unclean ( like 1.5 hours of scrubbing), the toilet had urine around it. As I walked further through the apartment more and more stood out.. the oven had grease pooled on the floor up front and inside, what I presume to be melted cheese down the side between oven and cabinet when I pulled it out, the trashcan had like 3 month old banana peel in it. The carpet hadnât been cleaned⌠dish washer, fridge the list goes on. ( Legally Speaking, Iâm sure there are certain things that are Required to be done before leasing an apartment).
But hey, if I were to complain about the kind of pizza party the clubhouse bought as a gesture to the residents because thatâs what residents asked for.. that got a faster response from management.. or why there are little flags around the property for lawn care.. Iâm not the only resident that had a situation like this.
Donât get me Wrong, the Girls at the leasing office are awesome and really get to know the residents and care for them. Especially residents that have been here and itâs awesome to see them putting the time and put the extra mile for Events that residents want to have to bring the community together the so kudos to them. They donât get enough credit for the Hard work they do. Thatâs the level of care residents want to see. I was recommend to come here for the level of professionalism.
My complaint is more the fact management and response to more pressing matters or lack of response...
Read moreSo, this review is based on my experience having lived here for 6 months.
The communication leading up to my move-in and initial occupancy was spot-on however, the concerns addressed below are not mine alone, as I talk with several residents who feel the same and this review is the result of a recent conversation at the dog park.
Bottom line, the lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and seemingly consistent re-direct on blaming âthe cityâ for property management issues had one resident (who has been here 2+ years and liked by virtually everyone) states, ââŚI donât even go into the office anymore because I donât want to be lied to.â
I was just informed with less than 48 hours business day notice that my move in date is being pushed to the right by 3 days because âthe cityâ is not allowing the complex to occupy the building yet. Again, the perception with this and a pool issue amongst residents is the lack of coordination / planning by the property management team. And what do they say, perception is reality. We would rather then take ownership or communicate further in advance to allow those who adjust their work / personal lives (to include furniture delivery, utilities, insurance, moving truck, etc.) to allow for a better reaction time and better understanding of the situation.
Lastly, a friend moved in recently and their apartment was horribly dirty. The bathroom toilet had been blown up (metaphorically), and they had to replace the carpet.
UPDATE: Move-in date now pushed to the 14th (my decision) based on them not committing on the eve of my scheduled move-in date (furniture delivery as well) of the 6th. I'm now unable to have furniture delivered until the 14th so, I'm not playing this game anymore...most of us have lives that can't work around this lack of coordination.
Other than that, great location, maintenance staff stays on top of things when reported, the front office staff has great intentions, and the other residents (with the exception of a few) are...
