New Vision Theatres Sparta — Attraction in Sparta Township

I only visited at late hours, but it was a clean and friendly establishment. Theatres are on the small side but comfortable seating. I noticed the lights didn't dim too much during one particular showing and it was occasionally off putting once I noticed it, however it didn't serve to detract from the viewing much at all.

I think it is a great local theatre, and is located near other very nice shops and a bowling alley. I would definitely recommend seeing a movie here, the only thing keeping it from 5 stars was the lighting.

I had very little interaction with the staff while visiting, but I also didn't buy anything other than a ticket so that's to be expected. They were kind and curteous when I spoke to them though, and from what I saw acted the same regardless of who they were speaking to.

If movies were $4-5, I don't think I would be as upset, but I can't say I've ever had a more uncomfortable movie experience. The theater is tiny, so even sitting near the middle you felt like you were in the front row, craning your neck and looking up. The problem is that the seats are standard height, making it difficult to do so, especially for 2+ hours. The heat must have been on the roast setting, it was entirely too warm in there, especially for winter clothing. The picture wasn't ideal either, the spots on the film kept distracting my eye (who wants to be distracted during a movie, much less a Bond movie?!). Since the Newton theater stopped being a movie theater this is the only place left in the area if you don't want to drive to Mansfield or Rockaway. I've been going here since I was a kid. It was recently remodeled and is a pretty nice theater. I guess I'm just nostalgic and miss the atmosphere before the remodel. Now it's in the basement of the building and there's a Panera Bread where the original entrance was. My only legit complaint is they seem to only get movies that have been out for a few weeks.
