Meadowood Park — Attraction in Speedway

Clean modern beautiful park to visit. I lived in Speedway in the 1990s near this location. It is a quiet safe place to relax and let your children play.

This park is equipped with two baseball diamonds, several soccer fields, a food and grill area that is well shaded and many well kept items for the kiddos to play and exercise on. As for athletics it also has a jogging trail that keeps track of your distance.

This is a school zone so please allow for children to travel safely to and from school during school hours. Please watch where you drive and drive slowly and carefully. This is an all ages location and alcohol is not permitted on grounds.

We love this park! My son has dubbed it Acorn Park for the number of tall oaks. In the fall, the grounds are littered with acorns in many shapes and sizes from the size of pinheads to giant burr acorns, black walnuts, and at least two types of hickory nuts. It's been a great learning opportunity for our little man, as the squirrels run everywhere enjoying the bounty. The playground is decent sized, with a good distance between the little kid equipment and the big kid. It seems to discourage too many bigger kids from running over the little ones. The equipment is well maintained. The few times things have broken, they have been handled quickly. This park is used for recess at the school, so during that time it can be hectic, but during the rest of the school day...

Well it was nice. My nephew I and my mom and my great niece went there to kill some time on Sunday before going to my brother's house for lunch. The playground was nice my great-niece enjoyed it. It looks clean. There is one thing. That should have had a bench swing on it but it didn't that's the only thing that was really missing from the park. Haven't been to that Park in about almost 25 years. But it was nice to see it it look nice they were done a lot of stuff in it.
