My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott in Speedway, Indiana. (Northwest of Indy.) We were there to rendezvous with a college friend. We booked the room with Bonvoy points, so I can’t really comment on price.||The hotel is located right off an exit of I-75 on a fairly busy highway that eventually leads to the Motor Speedway. There are many stores, fast food places, etc. in the area.||I was told that the building is about five years old. The lobby is fairly spacious with several areas for seating and socializing. Breakfast was an extra charge and was served in a dedicated area in the lobby.|Check-in was friendly and efficient. ||There is free wi-fi in the lobby and rooms.||Our room was average-sized and had a contemporary decor. The most notable feature was a funky crooked cabinet. (See pic.) Inside was a microwave and dorm-sized refrigerator; a coffee station was next to it.||Other furniture included a spacious crescent shaped sofa, ottoman, pole lamp and u-shaped sofa table. Along the wall was a large-screen TV, rolling desk, ergonomic desk chair and credenza with two small drawers. ||We opted for a king-size bed, which came with four feather pillows. Instead of a headboard, there were two foam bolsters. Flanking the bed were two small nightstands, each with a sconce-type light and electric outlets/USB ports. The bed was pretty soft, but comfortable.||TIP: The room included blackout curtains, but worth mentioning is what I assume was the fire alarm, located right above the bed. It had a strobe-type light that went off periodically. Not blindingly so, but noticeable enough in a darkened room if you would be sensitive to that sort of thing.||A smallish closet was tucked in the wall. It contained an iron and ironing board. And extra bedding. No sign of an in-room safe.||The bathroom continued with the contemporary decor and was generously-sized. There was lots of counter space, which had room for a separate makeup mirror. Generic toiletries were on the counter.||But the stand-out of the room was the large walk-in shower. (See pic.) The controls were right when you walked in, so no fear of getting drenched with cold water as you adjusted the temperature. My wife appreciated the mini shelf and lower ledge for shaving legs. Bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner by 39° NORTH were mounted on the wall. Water pressure and temperature were fine.||The AC in the HVAC system worked fine.||There is a fitness center, indoor pool and business section, none of which we used. Similarly, we opted to eat breakfast outside of the hotel.||TIP: The entry door has a sticker announcing that it has an automatic deadlock - apparently it engages when you close the door. But on two occasions it engaged as we were leaving the room. That is, we walked into the hall and it slid out as we were trying to close the door. It took some finagling with our key card to have it go back in before we could close the door. A minor aggravation.||Overall, we were very happy with the location and were satisfied with our stay. We would definitely stay again if we returned to the area.||For more specific details and pictures, visit the...

I will not be back here. This was my first time in a hotel since covid and I expected a super clean fresh room (which I normally recieved pre-pandemic). What I walked into was a sticky bathroom and crumbs all over the floor in the main area. Even the fridge cabinet door has stick spots all over it that you can see. We found hairs in the bed and as we were getting ready to go to sleep I found a fresh food stain that matches the crumbs all over the room. I didn't want to complain and have my room changed because of covid. I'm already breathing this gross air, I didn't want more of it. At check in, our credit card was charged for $230 on the dot when it should have only been $209.49. I'll have to watch my card now to see if they were just holding $20.51 for incidentals (but why such an odd number). At 1230am and for a while after, all you could hear through the paper walls were kids yelling and having a great time in the hallway. Well good for them but we were trying to sleep. The walls are so thin that I could hear the tv next door and when ever someone dropped something upstairs. The noise even made someones baby cry at 1am. The bistro is a joke, offering practically nothing but microwave food. I feel like the hotel could have handled having what seemed like a baseball team. Put them on the lowest floor so their running at stupid early hours doesn't disturb others. We also asked for a possible late check out due to my husband being here for a test at 8am. They gave an extra half hour (lots of events at the hotel, out of their control) but at 930am someone (could have been a kid) was wildly knocking on my door. I was still sleeping so it really threw me off as we had the do not disturb sign on the door. For a newer hotel, its sad. The cleaning is obviously poor but to be in a pandemic and have bad...

A Five-Star Stay at Courtyard by Marriott Speedway!

From the moment I stepped into the Courtyard by Marriott Speedway, I knew I was in for something special. This property doesn’t just meet expectations—it exceeds them in every way.

General Manager TJ sets the tone for excellence. Her leadership is evident in every corner of the hotel, from the pristine lobby to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. TJ’s commitment to guest satisfaction is unmatched, and it shows in the seamless operation of the entire property.

A special shoutout to Senior Sales Manager Dominque, whose professionalism and attention to detail made our booking experience effortless. Dominique’s dedication to creating memorable stays is truly commendable—she’s a gem in the hospitality world.

The housekeeping and front desk staff deserve high praise. Every interaction was courteous and efficient, and the rooms? Spotless. The cleanliness was head and shoulders above expectations—immaculate linens, gleaming surfaces, and a fresh, inviting scent that made it feel like home.

The Bistro staff added a personal touch to each morning. Warm smiles, friendly service, and delicious offerings made breakfast a highlight of the day. Their genuine hospitality made every meal feel like a treat.

Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, Courtyard by Marriott Speedway is a standout choice. With a team this dedicated and a property this well-maintained, it’s no wonder guests keep coming back. Highly...

I thought the amenities that were given were great. I assume it's a little busier during the week because it tailors more towards a business crowd. I mainly booked here because it had good reviews and was right off the highway on my way back north to Milwaukee. I did have to kill a hornet and bunch of flies when I got into my room. Only a couple more flies wandered in throughout the day. We didn't feel like leaving so we went downstairs and got dinner from the bistro. I got the Caesar salad and the bistro burger with an arugula salad. They didn't have the arugula so I basically had a big Caesar salad and then a small one for a side. The food was fine. You pay for the convenience of not leaving and not necessarily the quality. Overall, I was there for just over 12 hours so it served it's purpose.

This hotel is definitely worth the stay, I've been to many courtyards across the country and this one is memorable. The staff was very pleasant and courteous and the rooms were so nice! I will say there are a couple things I noticed, first the room isn't toddler friendly, many corners and easy to reach places so if you have a toddler just be careful. Also the shower, although walk in, isn't the most convenient for showering. We did love the smart TV where we could log into our Netflix and even HBO accounts, that was an amazing feature! We will definitely be staying here again!
