Pretty cool bunch. However, I was a bit annoyed with placing my order. I visited the 86th street Panna and would order a Thai Milk Tea. I was so excited about this location and could not wait to patronize this Panna. The first person who took my order wanted to make sure that I said Thai instead of Chaiā¦understood.(Cool person) Then another person came and asked again what I wanted. I said Thai for the fourth timeā¦and then they proceeded to ask if I meant Chai. I literally had to explain that I had the drink before and I knew what it was and what I wanted. I then inquired about the free donut and was immediately told..ā you get one free donut. ā The way it was communicated, made it appear as if I was asking for more than one. I donāt know what the vibe is with the management in this store. But I am a 40 year old woman who can appear years younger. So it seemed odd that I was communicated with as if I was a teenager or someone with little intelligence. In additionā¦well letās just say Iām of a darker hue as well. I was glad to have my Thai Tea and donut. But I couldnāt help having a vibe of my intelligence being slightly slighted. Please make sure the team understands the importance for serving people of various ages and ethnicities. I know the store is just getting started. Iām yet hopeful for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rated 2 stars ONLY because the donuts are amazing even if the customer service is ABYSMAL! And it is. Iāve been to this location several times because, even in spite of the general angsty teenage vibe among the staff - who all have quite a bit of trouble smiling, looking anyone in the eye, or speaking above a whisper and in complete sentences - the donuts are delicious! Yesterday, I stopped for a donut fix, and while I was at the window (and knowing there are beverages on the menu and therefore there is ice to be had inside) I asked for a cup of ice as what Iād had in the iced tea already in my car had melted. The nearly mute teenager at the window cocked her head like a confused Labrador and said, āUmmm⦠I donāt think we do that?ā It sounded like a question, meaning she wasnāt sure but it was clear she was completely unmotivated to verify that assumption. The assumption that it was verboten to give away a scoopful of something (that costs nothing) to a paying customer. Way to make a fan of these donuts already begin regretting the future when she comes back for her next donut fix! Because it will mean interacting with these particular humans again. If only there was a way to retrofit this location into some space-age, Jetsonās-esque, self-serve donut drive-in. Would be a million...

My only complaint is the boba tea ā¹ļø We love love love tea with boba and have been to nearly every boba tea shop in Indianapolis. When we first came to Pana in the summer, it was good tea, but definitely sweet. I was impressed by well cooked boba and good texture. Since then, they may have changed something, but the last three times I have gotten their milk tea (in the last 2-3 months) with boba, it has been virtually undrinkable. It is SO SWEET. I asked if the sweetness could be adjusted, but they pre-make their tea at the beginning of the day (and so, cannot). I even tried a different flavor. Same problem. (And I like sweet!) Additionally, the boba were not fully cooked and were very chewy. Iām so sad! I keep trying, hoping itās a bad day, but it has not changed. We would come here probably way too often if the boba tea was better, but we end up driving somewhere else so that we can actually stomach drinking it. Please change the recipe! Or give us the ability to adjust sweetness. We want to drink...
