Went today during the William "Bill" Hooman visit. Was invited by a random encounter with a new friend. It was an amazing experience and plan to return when we're able. Definitely recommend anyone who can, help this worthy place continue their good work.

It honestly shocks me that this place is still up and running considering how many people they have strung along saying they have money to help people, when they don’t. I reached out in JUNE to get help from a domestic violence situation, and instead of helping me pay off my rent that my ex never paid, they decided to reject my application, claimed they sent out a letter, when they never did. This happened in SEPTEMBER, and the entire three months, they kept promising me they would have the money when they didn’t. I got two attorneys to help me, and they told me that they had numerous people being strung around by the NACC with promise of pay. Instead of getting the help that I had asked for; I got evicted with my three year old in the middle of the winter. They kept dodging all my calls, e mails and messages, and when Courtney told me about this, she was very rude about it and was acting like I was the problem. Not to mention, they helped my neighbor who hardly pays her rent, but when I asked I needed help getting back on my feet, I got duped. This place is awful, don’t go here or to YWCA. Your best bet is Family Promise if you have any domestic violence...

Very rude. I stopped by, with my mom, to see if they were doing the food bank. My mom peaked her head in to find an empty room and she asked if anyone was there. She backed out to tell me she didn't see anyone, and the door slammed shut in her face and was locked. We tried the other door, and the same thing happened there too!

This place needs to learn how to treat people with respect! disgusting! Luckily, my mom didn't get hurt from their terrible actions. I just can't believe that a place that is supposed to help their people would treat them like complete trash and slam the door in their face. Literally. Terrible service!

I am truly in shock with how disturbing their actions were!...

I have received food help from the native center back when it was on 3rd. I was well received. I have stopped in to the new location and was Blessed with the opportunity to help at Christmas, to set up for the Gonzaga dinner. I also visited when they had the big Pow Wow last spring and met some wonderful people. Recently I stopped in to get food and was not able to receive, due to a number of paper documents I did not have. I was hoping for maybe at least an emergency box. So be aware if you don't have the right paper work, they can not help. I hope the center becomes more publicly welcoming .I have great Native pride and wish the center...
