I was looking for coffee, or a brewery, or both. I was en-route to a different brewery, and saw Four Eyed Guys - a convenient development on my drive. I pulled in, sat down, ordered a Winter Pines D(double)IPA from Alex, one of the owners. It was delicious (and I took my time drinking it, too). I was a few sips in when Hillary, the other owner, and coincidentally, married to Alex, asked me if I would like something to eat. I told her that I wasn’t really hungry. Hillary, chock-full of vitality and a very clear zest for life, has enough energy to power a small city. The word “persuasive” in the dictionary should have a small picture of her next to it. Anyway, somewhere in a pleasant discussion I ordered a charcuterie plate - a large one. It was as big as an extra—large pizza. Delicious! Arugula, copicola and prosciutto (I think), goat and two other types of cheese, a very tasty jam, mustard, and a small side of something that tasted incredible. I could not figure out what it was, so I asked and it turned out it was artichoke. Macerated, I believe that was what Alex told me. Who’da guessed that. I could of eaten a plate of that, alone. It was good, very good. The interior is unpretentious and comfortable. The choice of music is great, and somehow, they found that sweet spot between too loud, and not loud enough. It’s easy to carry a comfortable conversation. So, too, are the furnishings. Comfortable. Whether you come alone, or with friends, the sum of the parts creates a greater whole, and it would be easy to spend hours here without knowing it. A couple of hours passed, and I had no idea.
I came here on a whim, and was rewarded by serendipity.
In the event you haven’t deduced it yet, I really...
Read moreMy hubby and I live in Moses Lake/Ephrata area, so we have to travel for some fun since there’s not much to do near us. During our drive I found this place and we HAD to check it out!
I had 2 flights, and I must say I am not the beer drinker, but with the variety of beer, cider and seltzers, I have to admit that I have never visited a brewery that carried so many options that I would actually drink. I liked everything I tried and the lowest I would rate any of the beverages was a 3.5 and that’s just based off my preference. My husband was drinking the IPAs and he enjoyed them as well.
We ordered the fig and the Italian sandwiches and they were both great. They came with chips and an onion dip which was a nice touch.
The one guy working checked on our table frequently and was quite knowledgeable and attentive!
I should also add that I work at a taproom where I have A LOT of access to a variety of beers and ciders, so I know...
Read morePlace is alright but I didn't care much for it, only had one beer which was pretty good. However the reason I'm giving it such a low review is because the place smelled musty which they attempt to cover up using incense, it just ends up making the place smell worse. Along with this their seating is these strange plastic chairs that don't exactly make you want to hang out and drink at the place. I'm also not a fan of places that run qr codes for the drink menu but still have partial menus on the side. Most of the food appears to be vegetarian geared, which I have no problem with but I didn't eat any here because none of it really sounded like it would pair well with a beer. I would give it 3 stars if they didn't run those nasty incense. 4 if it had alright seating and settled on one space for a menu. 5 stars would depend on how the food paired...
