I pre-ordered a Mugman (Cuphead) vinyl figure, went to go pick it up, they didn't have it in stock yet, (yet they had the Cuphead vinyl). They said I would get a call as to when it would arrive; that's understandable, I'm in no rush to get it. Did not receive a call or voicemail, called a representative, Ivy, she says the figure is on reserved at the store for me, awesome. I go back and they don't have it, said they called me but there was no call/voicemail and none of the numbers that called matched the number from any Gamestop/EB Games etc.. Thankfully, I ended up getting a refund yet bummed that I went through all this just to be lied to and given no notification whatsoever about it. Hilariously enough, the Hot Topic in that same mall had a bunch of the Mugman vinyl figures. So I did business with them and it was fast and easy. The only reason why I have not given this review anything lower than 3 stars is because I respect the very few employees who have helped me throughout my shopping experience there, that's the only fulfilling feature I can actually speak about this...
Read moreI had a very upsetting experience with this particular location tonight. I preordered Pokemon Shield and was informed I'd receive a call for the midnight release. I was never informed that this midnight release would be occurring before midnight and had no reason to do so, as again, it was described to me as a midnight release. All of the sudden, people I know have this game at 9pm and I had received no phonecall or voicemail. I rushed over and got there at 9:35. They had closed the doors. A full staff of four people told me through the glass doors to pick up the game I had already payed for tomorrow. They then proceeded to blame my fully functioning phone and empty voicemail voicemail box for the issue. 1.You couldn't try my number more than once on the off chance something went wrong? 2.You seriously weren't even open for a full hour for the release event? Read moreI went and stood in line for a ps5 and yes I was lucky enough to get one of the 4 units available.. the issue i have is putting the console behind a paywall in order to purchase the unit in the first place, if you are not a pro member your not allowed to purchase at all, at $14.99 yes its not that much but its just a horrible practice. Now on to the bundles you can't just buy the ps5 you have to buy it bundled with a Bunch of stuff you dont want or simply dont need so your $499 ps5 disc version is now dang near $900 once again Gamestop should be ashamed for taking advantage of people like this! Not to mention they didn't even have the headset in stock that was supposed to come in the bundle and had to take your name to call you at a later date. Just shameful that businesses can get away with this...
