Met my Dad at China Dragon Spokane for lunch today. Our server was great, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. My Dad had been saying (for quite some time) that he wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant that had brown sweet and sour sauce, not the red sweet and sour sauce that is very prevalent in our area. When I was pregnant with my Son (that will be 31 this year š³) my Dad and I went to The China Dragon every single week. Itās where I learned to master chopsticks, because I wanted to āimpressā my MIL (she was Japanese). š I knew they had the brown sweet and sour, so we made plans for lunch. Was going to be yesterday, but Fatherās Day was more fitting. Food was really good, dinner prices are a little higher than many other places in town, lunch prices are decent, but the amount of shrimp in the shrimp dish that came with my dinner-sized combo was ridiculous (two tiny shrimp in my black pepper shrimp). I did have lots of leftovers though. š So definitely check out China Dragon, itās been around for a long time. The food is good, the restaurant is clean. Just donāt order any stir-fried shrimp dishes. š

China Dragón prepares adequate Americanized-Chinese food for Spokane. I especially enjoy the EGG DROP SOUP and the MOO GOO GAI PAN. We have ordered take-out from them 1xweek for the past five months, sometimes only for the soup. My family enjoys the food as much and sometimes more than the few restaurants we have visited. However, virtually every time an order is called, the reception is less than courteous. The staff are generally rude, argumentative and dishonest. In one case, we received an order of soup half full. Before that time, we had never thought to check after retrieving it for home consumption. The next order, (after waiting 10min on hold, twice) I requested to fill soup completely. To that the receptionist claimed they always do. When I explained my previous situation, she continued to deny the error, even though I was not asking for a refund, simply a fully prepared meal as ordered and paid. Luckily, I had insisted on photographing the āhalf full soupā after the previous incident. They offered a very small percentage off our meal that was still less than full compensation towards the soup. However, beyond that, there was no sense of regret for their error and certainly no indication that our previous loyalty and support for their business was valued. In this day, take-out is more prevalent than eat-in because of Covid. It is crucial to have a courteous team responsible for phone orders. Spokane visitors & residents have reasonable choices for Chinese restaurants. Service matters, even for take-out orders. At least, it does to me and my family because we will NOT be returning to China Dragon. Photo attachment is of untouched interior of a bowl sized soup container with partial amount of WONTON broth bought for take-out from China Dragon July, 2021. Edited to add: we now make our own egg drop to be exactly how we prefer it. So, I appreciate the poor service as an opportunity to test our own skills of food preparation. š

Save your money! Just yuck, I ordered a dinner combo with almond chicken, rice, chow mein and sweet and sour chicken. The chow mein consisted of ONLY onions and celery, with what looked like a piece of bbq pork grated over the top. The rice was good, but it also appeared as if lunch meat or something was thinly sliced and thrown on top. Is this a joke? In all my life I have never seen such an atrocity. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like soy sauce and vinegar, and the gravy on the almond chicken was straight up disgusting. The portions were large and the chicken itself (minus sauces) was decent. Overall, the food was extremely bland and a complete disappointment. What a joke, it tasted like someone's first attempt at Chinese food that failed. This place is for those who love Olive Garden and Applebees because the quality and taste is awful. Complete waste of $16. If you think this place is good, you don't get out much.

Iāve been coming to China Dragon for years. Today i came in with my dad and cousin for dinner. I got the number 2, my dad the number 1 and my cousin got the super duper! We got seated quickly, tea and water (water was always topped off) food portions are always large. i noticed alot of people have been complaining about the chow main this is the the way it has always been done ( the noodle chow main everyone is use to is an Americanized dish) our food was hot and fresh, my cousin had prawns and was like you want to try and i was like sure, you can taste the flavor of the shrimp ( prawn) the batter was fluffy, the texture was crispy on the outside, you could taste that the oil used was fresh if any thing was missing maybe a little seasoning from the prawn pre batter or in the batter, other wise all dishes were enjoyed and plates cleared
