This may be the greatest pizza in the world. I will never know. This was my first, and last time going there. I called in an order for pickup. They told me it would take 45 minutes. Seemed a bit long, but no big deal.
I get to the place, parking was a bit difficult because there was a bike race that shut down the road they are on. A heads up on that would have been cool, but no big deal.
It's pretty unclear where you are supposed to go for a take out order, but they have a place with a neon take out sign, a card reader and what was probably my pizza waiting a warming area. I assumed this was the spot, but maybe not. Maybe that was my bad.
So I sat at the chair by the take out spot, and I wait. Made eye contact with the guy back there, nod and wait. He's making a lot of food, maybe he's busy so I wait. He starts talking to the bartender about his lathe, and I wait. He makes a pizza for the house to serve by the slice and I wait. After awhile, I got tired of waiting and left.
I'm not exactly sure what makes their soul odd. My guess is a complete lack of even basic acknowledgement of customers. I think that's pretty odd for a place trying to sell food to do.
Getting food from here is a bad move. Maybe they only really...
Read moreHidden gem tends to be overused, but this establishment in Springdale is exactly that. Service was great, food was better than expected even knowing the high rating, and the atmosphere is above most that shoot for a quirky bar setting. I was visiting in enemy territory for a football game, despite me wearing my rivals gear, we received nothing but respect and hospitality.
The food was nothing short of great. The pretzel and cheese was up there with the best I’ve had and the calzone (odd soul) was insanely good with a unique crust and quality fillings. My only critique is the wings were not as good as I was hoping considering everything else had been great. I ordered the house blend dry rub and Buffalo, not bad by any means, just nothing special. Beer selection gets an A+. They had plenty selection of draft craft varieties (not just IPA after IPA either) and German brews. They even had Miller Lite, a boulevard seltzer, and some wines on tap for people not into craft beers. Pretty extensive cocktail menu as well.
This is one of the few places that lives up to the five star rating on google, if anyone’s in Springdale or the surrounding areas, it’s worth the trip. I unfortunately did not...
Read moreThe most “okay” food I’ve had in months. It’s not terrible. But it’s very far from good. It was super greasy and overall pretty tasteless. Even the dough was underwhelming.
My biggest complaint is having zero servers. The only ones running the entire floor were the two bartenders. So we had to walk up to the bar to order, go up and ask for refills on our drinks, get our own plates and plastic utensils, and go up to the bar to ask for boxes and checks. I’m not sure if this is because they are understaffed or if this is a normal thing. But it bothered me when both bartenders were just standing around and chatting while we had to do all the work. Especially because they were far from busy (as you can see in my photos.) Tables were also filthy and so was the bathroom.
Again, not sure if this is common or just because of understaffed. But I do know that the mixture between the service and the food, we won’t be back. Even if the service was the most incredible we’ve ever had, the food was so bland that it...
