Manila Oriental Market — Attraction in Springfield

Love the food here! Some of our favorites are the pancit, lumpia, Milk Fish, Pork Belly lechón! Unfortunately for us, we ended up coming 15 mins before closing and all they had was the Milk Fish & Pork Belly Lechón. But...this time there was something different that caught our eye. Chicken Green Curry! The flavor profile I'm was perfection with a much lower heat level than most traditional Currys, nevertheless, it was delicious!

Tip: Be careful when eating it though there are small bones in the curry (which is normal if you throw the whole chicken in the pot to break down). Come right when they open if you can for fresh Milk Fish! The pork belly Lechón comes with a sauce reminiscent of cinnamon apple sauce which you typically eat with Pork chops in the south. This is something I thought was only a practice of southern cooks but it looks like the Philippines know about this amazing duo well enough to have created their own spin-off sauce! I've been going this store on and off for a long time but lately most of my experience have been awful. The cafeteria was a hit back in the old location but lately it's been a missed. No consistency on the dish being serve and more times than not the food being serve is always day or two old. The quality of the food has definitely gone down. The store it self remains notorious for selling old, expired products like hopia, chicharon etc.. it is really disappointing because they charges a ton for it. Forget about returning the items if u r not happy with it because all ur going to get is empathy but not your money. Business as usual the moment you walked...

If your balikbayan boxes are picked up from your home, you will be required to pay the full price of the shipping cost. The shipping company will not honor the initial deposit you placed at this store.
