This is a 'fast food' type of establishment. You order the food at a counter & they cook it up 'fresh'. You find a table & grab your cutlery (plastic) from the front counter. Do NOT compare it to a fine dining restaurant such as L'Auberge Chef Francoise or Afghan Bistro. You get good (not great) Afghan cuisine at a 'fair' price. Not as low as McDonalds. You can try a wide variety of Afghan delicacies at a lower price, before you venture out to try finer dining Afghan 'style' at places like Afghan Bistro. b.t.w. You can always find seating here when you walk in (w/ an 'overflow' room for added tables). At Afghan Bistro if you do NOT have reservations, most times you will be turned away at the door (only has a few tables for guest seating)! This is a clean and good place to eat a filling meal! Some dishes are pricey, and they also do not give you enough rice and pieces of meat compared to other similar restaurants. However, they do have a large YELLOW sign on the front window advertising their $7.95 special meals that are tasty, and can satisfy most diner's tastes. They are NOT huge 'Americanized' portions. They try to introduce you to the cuisine of their country. Their meals will 'feed you, NOT fatten you up', like the huge portions other posters on this site seem to...
Read moreAs a small business owner myself, I am appalled by the lack of customer service and belittlement attitude towards their clients, especially the son that works here, he speaks not only to me but on other occasions have witnessed him be blatantly arrogant and rude towards other customers as well. Their ordering system on their business website has a glitch, it's not the first time it's caused problems with orders, you would think they would have fixed by now, anyhow instead of acknowledging that there is a problem with their ordering system the son of the owner gets Irate with me and arrogantly starts arguing instead of offering a solution, his mother was at least trying to de-escalate the situation but her son was disgustingly rude and I wanted no part in him making my food, who knows what he would have done to it, I was not going to trust him. Anyhow if you like being mistreated as a paying customer at this establishment then be my guest, but I sure as he'll do not recommend this restaurant, don't waste your time and hard earned money, when there's many other kabob options around here like , moby dick or Afghan corner down the street, now THEY do know how to value their customers and give service...
Read moreWe've been craving to try Flame Kabab for ages, and oh boy, it exceeded our expectations! This charming family-run Afghan restaurant is a hidden gem. The moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel like family.
The lamb kebab was absolute perfection - tender, juicy, and infused with a smoky flavor that left us wanting more! The portions were generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the freshly baked whole wheat bread, fluffy rice, and savory chickpeas on the side.
What impressed us most was the personal touch - the staff knew everyone's name, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, even on a weekday evening. And don't even get us started on the Afghan ice cream, Shere Yakh - it's a must-try! We can't wait to come back and indulge in more of their delicious offerings.
The prices were super reasonable, which made the experience even more delightful. A huge thank you to the Flame Kabab team for satisfying our hunger and leaving us with unforgettable memories. We're already counting down the days until our next visit! Inn Sha Allah, we'll be back soon, and we wish you continued success and baraka on...
