Whenever I shop here, the store employees are pleasant and kind.

On New Years Day, I arrived at 6:45 pm and was surprised to shop in a nearly empty store. Usually it's filled with customers.

It turns out that they were closing early that day. It was about 7:10 when I fell in line to check out. No one said a word to me that they were already closed. I missed the sign they put on the front door before walking in.

I believe 2 Filipinas were on shift that night and they would smile when I made eye contact and walked past them, but they never bothered to speak up & let me know they had closed! That was a very selfless gesture, when they could be leaving sooner to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. At Giant and Whole Foods you begin to hear closing announcements half an hour beforehand, and then at different intervals in between.

I enjoy shopping here. Prices are fair and offer great value. I like the variety of healthy foods and beverages at this location, but special items go out fast. One of my favorite things to buy is their Asian Pear Kombucha and Kefir. The cashiers are speedy. Items are restocked often, but if you arrive late at night, inventory is lower - that's a given. Aisles are wide and clear. Cashiers call for help when the lines get long. Trader Joe's is just around the corner in the next plaza. Sent looking at another store, and none have had size 12 men's hiking boots. Size 11 too small/tight when I got them home and tried with the outdoor socks. Seasonal stuff is hit or miss with next to no recourse but returning, which seems to be what I bought first and didn't work, an 8qt ambiano pressure cooker for $60-80 which ran for 2min and errors out (code 1 or 2, sensor, iirc manual says not user repairable) consistently. Tempo, the Ambiano service/distributor company says they don't have any, in an email, so no help there. Only option besides return under warranty, now shipping and return authorization required, is return to store, now months past, so seasonal IF comes up again and see if uses same size, shape stainless steel pot and base works for multiple pots, dishwasher fridge, spares like silicone gasket seal, etc... Big disappointment for big first purchase which aren't covered under twice as nice...

I wanted to give one star, but considering all the shortcomings, the positive aspects should also be acknowledged. The worst issue is in the fruits and vegetables section, where improper storage temperatures lead to spoilage. This poor maintenance has caused me to buy cucumbers and greens from this store five times, and three times I had to throw them away due to freezing damage. Despite informing the management on the third occasion, I had no choice but to return the items due to my lack of time, considering the store’s other advantages. However, this was not feasible for me earlier or even today. It would be better if the store employed a more experienced manager who could at least apologize to customers for their mistakes, rather than merely offering a gift card for the value of the returned items as a token of “courtesy,” despite being fully aware of...
