Delnor Woods Park — Attraction in St. Charles

A great place to take a nice long walk to destress and enjoy the scenery. The grounds are well kept and the entire park is clean from debris. I really love the dog memorial with the tags and collars in remembrance of those who have gone over the rainbow bridge or who have been lost. There's a plaque memorial with different quotes which is very touching. This is by far my favorite aspect of the park. Great park to explore! This is a hidden gem of Saint Charles. You can explore the park by walking through the woods, playing the the open fields, checking out the playground, or viewing the little falls that overflow from the dam after a good rain or in the spring after the snow melt. This is a really nice park and in the winter it has a nice little hill for sledding in the winter perfect for little kids since nobody really goes here for that. Delaware woods is a very unique and beautiful Forest preserve that also combines into a park. If you start off on 5th avenue you pull right into an area with a unique waterfall with a fountain which you are able to fish in. But what makes it truly unique is the purpose of the park is to also serve as a memorial for pets. There's a beautiful metal statue of a dog where people place their pets collars and tags.
