As my 14-year-old autistic son looking for more independence as I watch from the haircutting place towards the candy Emporium as he looked at the bins I saw him getting thrown out of the candy Emporium by the employee I went straight over and asked him what was the problem and he said that he looks suspicious and that he open the bin and put something in his mouth and I asked my autistic son did you really put something in your mouth he said no and then the employee changed his mind and said that he thought he saw him open the bin but that he still wanted him out of the store he did not steal anything or was meaning anyway or anything he just got thrown out of the store because he looked suspicious of his behavior. Why would anybody need to come to the candy Emporium and explain their health conditions or their mental conditions to be able to shop there. As I watch my autistic son have tears coming down his face the employee knew that he had made a mistake . He Apologize but still now we have days and years of mental health issues that we have to deal with just because of some employee assumption . I will never ever go back to the candy Emporium at stcloud crossroads mall . I was so upset I called the police department to file a police report. Response to managers post My autistic son has never been treated with so much disrespect and discrimination when we visited your store several other times it was never an issue your employee came upto my son told him to get out of the store for No reason he said he only open the bins never touch the candy I asked him to call security he refused he said he just wanted him out of the store because he look too suspicious And kept yelling I have that right it is my store I have that right it is my store that is when he calls you his manager was it my sons ethnicity he was looking at was it his hoodie or was it just plain being racist towards him I donāt know whatever it was .the only reason my son open the bin was because of the glare of his eye glasses that he needed to see the candy and according to reviews your employees donāt even wear gloves when handling the strawberries and candy and other fruits .you need to teach your employees to be respectful and be health-conscious in public health. Nobody needs to disclose their mental health or health conditions to be able to shop at your store.Friends went shopping the following day in her overheard employee stated he won the battle and he just wanted us out of the store. It just goes to show how sincere that apology was to my autistic son that he made cry and is now going having mental health sessions just to get over this horrible experience your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were in the store and the employee called to my service dog. I asked her not to distract the dog because he's working. The employee questioned why and I explained why not and what could happen if a service dog gets distracted. The employee was very curious and asked questions to learn more about service animals. While we were talking another customer starts interacting with my service dog. I ask him to not distract my service dog and he was being mean about it. The employee I was just talking with told the customer that he can not distract service dogs. I continue shopping while the other customer paid for his stuff and left. She then apologized for the customer's behavior. I thanked her for her help. I had my cousin with and the interaction with that customer started him with an anxiety attack. He asked the employee for a cup of water and she gave him one. I really appreciated the way the employee handled the situation and her willingness to learn about something she didn't know. I would gladly shop that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure who it is, but there's one employee that just seems rude and like she couldn't care less about life and isn't very fun to interact with. And today, I'm just disappointed because I called ahead of time specifically to ask if they would remain open to the actual close time and said I was 10 minutes away. Was told yes but when we arrive (earlier than the 10 minutes as well) the bars are up and I said I was the gal who called and was told they'd be open. They forgot about a system update? I mean, cmon guys. The owner is very sweet and respectful so no hard feelings there. Just disappointed with the employee mentioned as well as the unorganization when I went out...
