We visited Adventures of Intrigue in STL for an early Mother’s Day celebration, and it was such a blast! We had a group of five ranging in age from 15 to 42, and we chose the “Murder at the Manor” storyline. From the second we walked in, the experience started—the front staff greeted us in character like we were arriving to help solve a real case. It immediately set the mood and made everything feel fun and immersive. We were given flashlights, lanyards with our adventure symbol, and walked back to our murder scene where we got the backstory and a briefcase to kick things off. We started solving clues in our room and quickly found ourselves moving through other parts of the space to keep unraveling the mystery. The layout is really unique—it’s an open-concept design, so while we were working on our story, other groups were working on their own adventures in the same space. It never felt crowded or chaotic, though. It actually added to the fun! The different sections are super creative and detailed—there’s a spooky area, an Egyptian section, a castle, old-world decor, and more. It made exploring even more exciting. The puzzles themselves were the perfect balance—challenging enough to make you think, but not so hard that it got frustrating. And they were all mental, no physical crawling or climbing, which was great. There was some walking involved, but nothing that would be too much for most people. The whole experience felt really accessible and welcoming. Staff members were always nearby if we needed a hint, and they stayed in character the entire time, which kept the vibe going without ever feeling pushy or too present. We took about two hours to solve our case and even stuck around a bit afterward to explore more. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design, puzzles, and storytelling. It felt creative, engaging, and totally different from any escape room we’ve done before. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular puzzle-solver, Adventures of Intrigue is definitely worth checking out. We had such a great time and would absolutely go back to try a different story!

This place is absolutely amazing!! Fun for everyone, not just for children. Great for date night, besties, families, & birthday parties.

We came here thinking it would be like an escape room, but it was so much more exciting than that! This experience combines the thrill of an escape room with an artistic, whimsical City Musuem vibe. It also kinda doubles as a selfie room because the decor is amazing! Themed areas, art decor, surprises, & creatures are floor to ceiling in every room/hall. It's a large space, but not to the point that you would lose someone for very long. The staff is incredibly friendly & will help if you get stuck on a clue. There are several different themed adventures you can choose from, but don't get too hung up on what you choose because you get to see the entire place with all adventures!

There is a large gated parking lot (parking is free). Walk ins are welcome, but you might not get all the adventure choices you want as they offer reservations. It is better to reserve in advance (especially on the weekend), but it's not required. There is a private room for parties available as well. Also, there is really cute, affordable merch, including $12.99 beautiful dragon stuffies! Usually at fun attractions like this, merch is cheap quality & expensive - here I feel like the merch is underpriced! Parents probably really appreciate this so that they can get affordable, great quality souvenirs!

This is a St. Louis 'must see' experience! I will definitely be using this as my new place to take my friends from out of town!

Pirate ship, mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, dragons, Harry Potter, Jumanji, & Egyptian themed areas/decor are just a small example of what you will see - there is something...

This was the anchor of our vacation to St Louis, and we are so happy we visited Adventures Of Intrigue. It was great! We spent 2 days there, completing every adult adventure in their library, and we wouldn't have missed a second of it. Adventures Of Intrigue is an open floor escape room, a unique concept where there are puzzles to solve, but you roam through their whole facility (which is massive) to complete the mission, vs. being locked in a room. Creativity is the rule of the day, and having fun in unavoidable. There is a wonderful use of tech, with each story utilizing different effects, such as one using a traditional radio, another using video screens of characters that animate and talk to you, for some examples. The puzzles are diverse, and after 10 adventures under our belt, we felt each was fresh and clever. Kudos!

Another key element is the kindliness and genuine warmth of the staff. I had more than a few LOL moments from interacting with the staff. I was certain that the staff was invested in us having a great time. All were great, but Sir Reginald's humor was second to none, Cici was funny, and now we have a new favorite dragon wrangler! I am so grateful for their work for us to have the great time we did have.

If you can do what we did, you are NOT going to be disappointed. I would rate this as one of the best vacations that I have ever experienced, all due to Adventures of Intrigue, and I cannot recommend...
