The Hi-Pointe Theatre is a St. Louis treasure and one of the oldest continuously operating movie theaters west of the Mississippi, first opening its doors in 1922. Nestled in the charming Hi-Pointe/Clayton neighborhood, it feels like stepping back in time with its beautifully preserved architecture, classic single screen auditorium, and iconic neon marquee.
Now proudly owned and operated by Cinema St. Louis, the Hi-Pointe continues to be a cultural landmark and is the home of the St. Louis International Film Festival along with many other year round film events. Its state-of-the-art projection and sound blend seamlessly with the theatre’s historic character, offering the best of both worlds: timeless ambiance and modern quality.
Whether you’re a lifelong movie lover or simply looking for a unique night out, the Hi-Pointe keeps the magic of cinema alive and thriving in our community. It is a must visit destination for locals...
