Luxe Barbershop and Salon — Attraction in St. Louis

I was looking forward to coming here based on all the good reviews but was very disappointed. I called ahead of time to see if walk ins were okay and if there was an availability then, was told that there was and I could come in. I came in almost immediately after ending the call and had to wait well over an hour to get my haircut because there were three appointments set. Why I wasn’t told this over the phone I am not sure. Then when I did receive my haircut I didn’t get what I told the barber I wanted, and he was rushing through the cut the entire time. I don’t believe he is experienced with black people’s here as he looked very worried before starting the cut, and pointed me out asking what I wanted out of all the customers waiting. While doing my hair, I could tell he was trying so hard to finish it in a couple minutes and I left not pleased. I usually don’t write reviews and I’m sure this place is great for other people, but I didn’t have a great experience...

I rarely review businesses. But let me start by saying this, the man in reference—is nothing short of an artist. When he’s focused on an area and exacts to the finest detail. You will leave the chair FEELING, like you look your best— at least from the neck and above. His care and concern for how you feel is felt through the way he progresses. And lastly, a rarer quality—the man doesn’t just go through a routine movement as you get from a great clips or equivalent, the shapes each haircut to match and fit the person wearing it. He adapts and will make the hair look it’s best for the style as well as the style of the person. Extraordinary. Brilliant....
